What's going on with people? Why are so many of you acting like this game is 72 hours away from total collapse? Yeah I know it's a content lull, but think back to the huge content lulls in Shadowbringers. Remember when The Coof was making it so Yoshi P's team had to work from home? Huge long months between update patches? I don't think things right now are as bad as people say they are. Nothing in this game's development is ever going to be perfect.

So calm down, lighten up and stop worrying so much.

Meh, overly melodramatic players have been claiming the sky is falling since before ARR launched. If the doomsayers were to believed, the game should have failed ten to twenty times by now.

Can't say I can relate to "getting away from the world and its problems".

Games are and never have been a form of escapism for me. I enjoy them but I don't use them to hide from the world. And if I did, wouldn't it be even more important that they're extra enjoyable?
"Calm down, lighten up and stop worrying so much" is supposed to do what exactly? It's one of these meanginless, empty phrases people throw around to feel good about having said something positive while at the same time not having to deal with a problem. Or do you think someone not enjoying the game in its current state will suddenly go "OMG you're SO right, JamieRose! Why have I never thought about just calming down? Jeez, you just changed my entire life!"?

There are plenty of legitimate criticisms one could have about FFXIV but most of the doom and gloom posts you're seeing are from the same handful of people who only stay subbed to circle jerk about how much they hate the game. Just put them on ignore if it bothers you.

This is the forum, one of the few places that people feel comfortable enough to actually voice concerns about the game. If you want fluff and happiness, this isn't going to be for you.

I agree, but it seems unfair to label this place as "sure is a lot of doom and gloom" when a lot of posts are literally made to be doom and gloom for reactions.
