This isn't a fix. It's a nerf for your convenience. This is ancient as heck content. I was looking to buy a diagnostics module for my new house [That I paid almost 20 mil for btw, but how crappy XIV's housing market is is a topic for another day] I almost choked when I saw it was damn near as expensive as my house! So I figured "Eh, I'll farm the mats and have my friend craft it for me." Only to discover the mats only drop if it's run synced and the drop rate is ridiculously frickin' low!. SE needs to fix this issue, and I have two propositions for fixing it.
#1, keep the low drop rate but make it drop from running it unsynced too. Again, this is hella old content, aside from some crafters complaining that they can't sell the tables for ridiculously inflated prices anymore there really isn't much harm in this.
#2, make it so it only drops synced but make it a guaranteed drop like the mounts in the later raids.
Both of these are fair compromises to make it so people who want the mats but don't want to farm this crap all day synced and possibly never get rewarded for it don't have to do so.
I would consider it a "fix" because it's still operating under archaic mechanics that have long since been abandoned for other instanced content.
They retroactively went back and added gear coffers to Coils, so it makes no sense that they left this bit as is when the new standard is that you have better rates when unsync'd, not that stuff doesn't drop at all.

Another way to look at it is that if they went with your solution it would be worth whopping 300 Gil on the market board and you wouldn’t had done it, bought it off the MB and destroyed an activity treasure hunters could do to take in the big bucks.I would consider it a "fix" because it's still operating under archaic mechanics that have long since been abandoned for other instanced content.

It's been their policy to actively make glam/cosmetic items from previous expansions more accessible since HW either by shoving them into the quick venture pool or making them available through deep dungeon/exploratory zone loot.
Coils just ended up being a weird exception until now where they started shoving the related items into the Eureka Orthos bags, so the prices are going to tank anyways, just not as quickly as they would've via "nerfing" the instances proper.

Uhm ... what do you mean? Glam/Cosmetic from Coil have always been readily available 'cause you can get those unsync since Stormblood. It's been their policy to actively make glam/cosmetic items from previous expansions more accessible since HW either by shoving them into the quick venture pool or making them available through deep dungeon/exploratory zone loot.

Really? Nice! I gotta tell my alt's FC members. We were running T1 synced a bit ago to try to get the item so one of our decorators could finish up what they were doing with the FC house but I don't know how many runs we did and it never dropped.Actually, its funny that you said that.
The new Deep Dungeon, Eureka Orthos drops all of the allagan stuff in all sacks. The furniture and other things too. So those prices will drop over time since the deep dungeon just got released.
Only difference is that its deep dungeon and its level 80-90 content.

Level Blue Mage and kill it sync'd by yourself. :^3
BLU can even kill Twintania sync'd solo.
Me Doing Just That
T2 Enrage method should be no problem :3
