Why is it ok to hold people hostage?

I understand your frustration but ... what part of the story tells you "it is ok to hold people hostage"? Unluckily running into troll is part of the internet life, you can deal with it, but you can't be immune from it unfortunately.

The tank told me after, I will quote him exactly:

Healer got kicked
Tank: "Ok..."
Me: "He had level 90 characters"
Tank: "And? having level 90 characters doesnt automatically make you good especially on this one ^^"

It's obvious that people enable this behaviour. That's why I asked, why it's ok.

FF14 is the only game i've ever played where you can be max level and there is no expectation that you actually know anything at all about the game whatsoever. Don't confuse this with optimal or near optimal play, I am saying the barest of bare minimum, and people cannot be expected to know that....at level 90 XD. No kardia Sages, No dancer partner dancers, Tech step used before we are even near the boss in alliance raids, no tank stance tanks, dps that cant even do 1 2 3 because all they press is 1 every so often. The list goes on and on
