Problem is guildleves give you a specific mobs to kill unlike FoV where you go and kill mobs roaming the plains, its like a instanced FoV. FoV can be done while leveling, Leves can be done in place of leveling which nobody wants.I'm a bit amazed by the replies on this. Everyone wanted continouse fields of valor pages, when didn't mind the once an hour gil/tab reward. People like doing FOV pages, even if it was the same one over and over again. It gave people something to do while leveling, so it made it more fun.
Levequests from what I read/seen of them are just fields of valor pages, just on steroids. I kinda find it funny that ppl in ffxi like doing pages or dominion. But ppl on ffxiv don't like the equivalent.
They are at its core the same concept. You get the guildleve or page. It tells you the target mob, and you kill them. Your rewarded sp/exp gil and maybe items.
I vote for continouse levequests since I liked doing fov pages non stop in ffxi. It made leveling less boring. I also wouldn't mind a 24 hr limit on the gil/item rewards.
Also Id be ok with adding a counter at the camps. So it would take less time then gaving to go back to the main city unless we really have to. And also saves anima.

I am more of resetting it every 48hrs. Well, that's because I have to work and there is just a lot of stuff I need to aside for the game. :/
I week reset is better. We've talked it over, we came to some terms in agreement. This thread is now closed.
I feel the time reset it is at now is fine. I already don't have enough time as it is, so me doing leves everyday is kind of not my thing...especially when I want time to craft as well. But this is just my opinion.
We have a winner ! In alpha/beta we had thousand of posts, yelling leves reset was too high.
Now it's too soon XD i'm so amused
Saying this, i'm ok both with 36hr and 48hr times. Sometimes they feel so near i need to hurry :X
I'm ok with 36 hours. Increasing the total leves to 12 would be nice, though. That, or make fieldcraft leves separate. I dislike juggling the two, splitting them 4/4 is too few.
Again guys, Its 36 hours because it allows for alternating Prime Time Resets First Prime Time Resets durring JP Prime Time, then for US Prime Time. If they change it to a quicker time it would be every 12 hours which means people might miss them then feel they are getting jipped if they do not log in daily.
I have to thank Square-Enix for the amazing job they have done recreating Final Fantasy XIV from Scratch. Especially the inclusion of Missing Genders which we petitioned for in good faith. This was proof to us players that the Developers are truly Sympathetic to our requests and that being honest and vocal can pay off with the amazing characters we have who are Female Roegadyn, Male Miqote, and Female Highlanders. Thank You SE, Thank You Community Team, Thank You Yoshi-P.
The problem lowering the cooldown of leves, is the fatigue, after the downtime, i hit fatigue on archer just with one leves cycle.
I think 36h is enough for the leves, couse if not i will not have time to craft for example.
still the same with added bonus of not fighting over mobs, which was a pain in ffxi. Recall the yuhanga jungle? Or korroloka tunnel? Qufim Island?
Party spots still in qufim Island fill up quickly and ppl fight over mobs.
with 3 parties on top of each other, mobs get killed to quick lowering the amount of exp an hour. Not to mention fights happen over solo'ers killing a parties mob. I'm sure you seen how hard it was to lvl bsr solo in the early days of ffxi. Getting b*tched at by parties for soloing "their" mobs.

I wouldn't know. I always did BST/WAR and acted as a Tank, Back Up Tank, or SATA partner in XP parties because I would have higher Def in just about any other player other then a fully plate mailed PLD.
