Mao RPs on forum and in game, mostly. Mao is feral dragon-kin that nots know Eorzean language very well. (RP mode off: If this bothers you too much, maybe you should try lightening up a bit. Life is too short to let yourself get your knickers in a knot over people role playing with respect to a game. For the record, I envy you because you HAVE a way to deal with your difficulties already built into the game. It may not be perfect but it is there. I have no such way to overcome my difficulties. In a few more years I might not be able to play this game anymore as my condition progresses. It's all fine and dandy to ask for QOL improvements to the game but just be aware that EVERYTHING takes time when dealing with this company.)

Honestly, you rp'ng in my thread was irritating because you were already in disagreement, while everybody else was up in arms malding.

So "Mao this", "Mao that" was kinda irking me.

There's a time and place, referring to yourself in third person in a thread where I'm getting flamed by a bunch of terminally online people, including you being on the side of them (which doesn't help your argument against the people in the thread when you're doing that), is definitely not the place. Especially when the thread got serious and you're just casually roleplaying as if we're having a lovely cute tea party. Just saying. But do you boo boo.

RP mode off: There are two issues here that need to be addressed. First, you did not specify in your original post that you were already aware of and using the already in-game feature to mute sounds. Many of the responses to your OP were from people honestly trying to get you to use that feature as an immediate way to deal with your difficulties. Yes there were also a lot of rude responses as well but had you mentioned from the onset that you were ALREADY using this feature and were merely putting forth the suggestion of adding a QOL feature in the hopes that some day SE would actually listen and add it, you might have received less hostile responses. I would hope that there were no people responding to this thread who did not take your condition seriously. Having said that, it is important to note that almost NOTHING gets done for this game at anything but a glacial pace. Any QOL feature added that would address your difficulties would most likely take a long time to be implemented. Second, as important as this issue is to you, it is not necessarily on the radar of others. It might behoove you to ease up on the tension from your end if you want to win others over to your side. Just because I RP does not mean that I don't take your situation seriously. The fact that I mostly RP shows just how much I love this game and I would not dream of trying to exclude other people from enjoying this experience. It might help you to put yourself in other people's shoes every now and then and try to see things from their perspective.

Yeah im going to agree with this one. I mean if something bugs me enough to be "triggering" I just remove myself from the situation/area. I'm the one with the problem and not them. The masses shouldn't have to accommodate me because I'm not special.

Besides it makes sense to craft right next to the MB because retainers are usually right there too. Easy to get your mats, craft, and sell it all in one area.

So you're triggered by sounds and people who speak in 3rd person. I think the problem is your thin skin. Would it be a useful QoL? Yup. However if you get bothered by every little thing then I think the problem is you.
