So you were told a temporary solution to your issue that works, but are too stubborn to implement it because you want to hear the VERY few generalized emote sounds someone MAY do around you because of immersion?
On top of this, you say in your original post that this seriously, seriously bothers you, yet you refuse to compromise to solve your problem because it inconveniences your game playing a little?.......

Yeah.....Well, if wishes were fishes and all that.......

Sigh, I'm sorry, there is just no helping people who refuse to take initiative and help themselves.

Or they can just add a slider to mute the crafting sounds. That sounds like help.

Stormpeaks not "listening". Wissp mentioned "TEMPORARY" solution. Is solution that can be done NOW. If MathildisMMORPG havings such difficulties with sound, this solution can be done NOW to alleviate difficulties until maybe another solution made in future. Does Stormpeaks think Devs can just snap fingers and has instant new solution created?

...she's right though. Same as MahthildisMMORPG. ESPECIALLY if what you want to argue is semanthics of all things.

Yes, there is a temporary solution to the problem.

HOW VERY OBSERVANT OF YOU ALL.

Now, this thread is clearly trying to make the temporary a bit more permanent. And preferrably, something that doesn't also end up affecting every other sound in the game. After all, we already discriminate between certain niche sounds as it is, considering Bard Performance is only really ever a thing whenever we go to a city state, especially the plaza. At least, that's been my experience, I've never had a consistant, constant stream of Performance literally anywhere else other than the city states.

So now you guys are here, arguing that "you were already given an answer, how dare you not help yourself", when people just want to be able to specify. That's it, that's the thread.

...odds are they already helped themselves. They just would rather have a more specific thing.

Or, you know, what I suggested because even I am aware that SE likely won't make sliders for every single type of sound in the game: Just rework the crafter sounds into more pleasant, less obnoxious (and preferrably ACCURATE) sound effects. They did this for Gunbreaker. Any crafter will have to deal with WVR's grindy dry wheel, or hammer wielders clanging in their ears, so it'd even help them.

You guys are just acting like OP is the problem, when really you guys just don't want to be sympathetic whatsoever.

Wow. How very ignorant of you to presume likes that. Mao is VERY sympathetic with OP. Mao has difficulties of different kind for playing game. Difference between OP and Mao though is that is way for OP to at least temporarily deal with difficulties. Mao does not. If Mao had way to deal with Mao's problems already built in game, Mao would use it. Mao is glad that Midareyukki sympathetic to OP but Midareyukki should check ignorant attitude at door when talkings about others. Mao hopings that some day will be more quality of life features built into game to helps OP and others but until then OP needs to use what is available.

That would work but then when is it going to be implemented if everyone keeps saying "just mute the entire sound effects for other players", why would they bother then ? Then it stays a temporary solution and there never is an actual permanent solution.

Can be done if peoples keep asking for QOL things. May not happen rights away but hopefully down the road, more features will be added. Mao is all in favor of more QOL adjustments.

Explain what ignorant attitude I displayed, please. Rather than being accusatory, yes? Because you're just proving everything Stormpeaks and the OP have been complaining about otherwise.

All I said is that the quip people have pointed out, that there is a way to mute sound effects, is not the point of this thread overall. That OP clearly knows that the option exists, but likely doesn't want.

Heck, unlike people whose one and only thought seemed to stop at the obvious, I actually pointed out an alternative, because I'm well aware that SE isn't likely to add specific sliders for this.

Explain to me, Mao, in what way was I "ignorant".

Because what does seem to be ignorant is people constantly stopping their thought process at the obvious. I'm very certain, reading the past 7 pages, that people are well aware the option to lower SFX exists. But what doesn't exist is the option to be select about it.

What others took from it was "Yes, it'd be nice to be able to discriminate between sound types."
What I took from it was "Well, that doesn't seem realistic. But there is an alternative that might be. Because the issue to a lot of people are repetitive and loud sounds, which quickly become obnoxious."
What people stopping their reasoning at the SFX option take from it "Yet another post complaining about something that can be done with the press of a macro, why haven't they tried?"

OP was courteous to people in his request. And several people who agreed with OP entirely were as well. Those people didn't direct OP with

Because so many things in this game exist simply because people asked for the option to be there.
Stuff that we really could have lived well without. Stuff that the game worked fine for years without it being there, and now it's an option there.

That's all there is. Being snarky at OP for having a request that apparently several people share isn't going to make the suggestion any better. The ability to change sound effects has been noted. But there are ways around this. They could go the way OP said. Or they could go any other alternative. If something is meant to be temporary, why are we now shaming OP for wanting something permanent and long-term? Heck, all Stormpeaks said was "OP is helping themself, they're asking for a way to deal with those sounds beyond muting every single sound effect".

    Where am I being ignorant?

Midareyukki presumed Mao thought OP was the "problem". Midareyukkki presumed Mao was not "sympathetic" with OP. Midareyukki never even bothered to ASK Mao if Mao was sympathetic or if Mao thought havings more QOL features would be good (hint: Is ALWAYS good to has more QOL features). Therefore Midareyukki was acting ignorants.
