But once again I get your frustration...however from a business viewpoint...do they please their current base without changing the foundation or anything early game and keep going further and further ahead making it a gigantic wall for new players. You say single player but I don't quite view it that way...the more expansions we have the less likely players will be in the early game. Allowing players to do dungeons with AI is a great way at allowing them to progress down the core content unlocking path (Which is the main story) This doesn't include trials yet and I wonder how much work it would be to redesign them but them giving new players options to advance without feeling like they have to wait 30 minutes to dps queue a dungeon no one wants to run is a good thing.

If they aren't planning to have 7.0 as a new start point for players then they need to tidy up everything before to allow it to better flow when people get further and further away from ARR/HW stuff. Resources are finite and I am happy to take a hit and play other games etc if it means more people will play the game in the long term. The game is 10 years old....if it were 2-3 then I would be completely with you and your complaint (New world is literally reworking story zones now and its 2 years old) but there's a lot of story...there's a lot of game...its a mountain to climb.
