I would settle for melee that actually use a LB on a boss if it is still available...so many times when tanking/healing you see the boss down to .1% before they even contemplate using it. I've used it more often than not lately when I go as DNC...and the boss is usually at around 20%

If I'm playing melee, and the other dps is also melee, I will usually use an LB on a boss around 50% or so. If I'm playing a ranged dps, I will usually give the other dps (provided they are melee) till around 10-20% before I start blasting. I only really apply this logic to dungeons though. In raids it's a bit more complicated than that.

I use it as early as possible in any content when I'm on melee. I always take into account the deaths that are happening though, so sometimes it doesn't get used until the last 2-3% of a raid boss.

I mean okay, I'm playing WAR cause I don't trust anyone in my roulettes, least of all in expert, so I'm perfectly fine but still. It's bad enough we're giving them a free ride, but the DPS are chatting back. Don't you guys feel even a little bit annoyed about this? I mean I already know the healer has no shame when they're somehow dying during pulls(and I'm one of those tanks that always aoes 2x on the first pack of the pull to make sure no one rips aggro) and sitting there since we don't have a RDM/SMN to res them, but really?

Expert Roulette rerun: Lapis Manalis, as a PLD. Matched with SGE, BRD, and BLM. The former two are first timers.

1st boss: Almost repeats the entire cycle of mechanic for the 3rd time.

2nd boss: SGE ate dirt from getting doom and never cleansing them. Tried to upkeep the other two, but soon enough they too munched the doom and ate dirt at 40%. Soloed my way while also learning for the first time that the boss has an actual tankbuster.

3rd boss: All three ate dirt on first set of bubble mechanic. Immediately committed suicide to restart the run with smoother progression after.

A lot of times when I'm on melee I don't use the LB because it seems like my basic combo does more damage than the LB within the time it takes to cast. This is mostly for higher level stuff though, I do try to make use of it often sub 70.

I just want to get my roulettes done for the day and all I'm getting are tanks that pull 3 mobs at a time(I watched a pally manage to make the first portion of the Dead Ends take 4 pulls), or when I queue tank I get a SGE in level 80+ dungeon spamming e. diagnosis and not using any other abilities. The bar is literally not that high, but I guess I'll just dodge the duty and go do something else for 30 minutes.

In the last few Expert roulettes I've done as DNC, I've been matched with another DNC - at least twice - who throws their dance partner onto the tank - even with mine already on them. Most of the time they leave it there the entire time, but one time one of the(after they used Standard Step) realized that they had two different Stand Steps on their buff bar and swapped partner to me.

Also had a DNC(level 90, with the Manderville weapon) partner in Qitana Ravel who would let their SS fall off....even when things weren't much past 50% HP. And wouldn't apply it again until the next pull. They also decided to partner the tank(and after watching them let SS fall off, I swapped to the healer who was constantly above them in enmity). They also never used Technical Step during that entire run. I think my SS was down for a total of 10 seconds that dungeon since I always refreshed it when the cooldown was complete.

The other day, I was in one of the Nier raids and whenever Healer pieces dropped my co-healer would ask if I really needed the item or wanted it for glam, otherwise they'd only roll on it just to turn in for GC seals. I thought that was incredibly thoughtful, but I wasn't sure what to say as I did like the glams and never got them yet but I definitely didn't want to tell them not to roll on an item they have every right to. I just said "Roll on it, and let the fates decide!" Well, I think maybe they saw through me and let me have it anyway. And it happened a couple of times that run, actually. I really appreciate their kindness. That was really cool of them.

Today, I got the reverse situation. I queue for the Fell Court of Troia on my Bard, because I need some Aiming gear upgrades. Turns out the other DPS is also a Bard, and at the start of the run they ask me if I could pass on the pants item if it drops because they want it for glam. I was at a loss for words, at first. We both queued as ranged DPS, we both want the item for our own reasons. It's not fair to put strangers on the spot like this in front of a party. It boggles my mind how someone could even ask this. Eventually I spoke up and said "Uh, I'm literally here for gear." They don't let it go. They keep asking, and promising they will craft me a better piece of gear in exchange. They describe how they've been grinding this one dungeon so many times just to get it, a real sob story. It goes on and on, and I'm just sick of it. I was strongly considering just leaving the dungeon outright. I just want them to shut up, so I agree not to roll Need on the item if it drops. Turns out, it doesn't drop, we go our separate ways, and the other Bard doesn't even give me a commendation for agreeing to their stupid terms. I'm not saying I deserve a comm -- I didn't perform all that well or anything -- but it would seem appropriate as a token of appreciation that I had accepted their terms. To not give me one kinda feels like them giving me the finger afterward, and showing how they didn't believe I would make good on my end of the deal. But if you don't think that about me, how can you expect others to think that about you!? What a garbage person.

I constantly remind players to use the limit break in 24-man raids, "LB resets on bosses" I say.

If you have LB bar after bosses, use it on the mobs between bosses, else it will go to waste. I was surprised not many players knew about this.
