Thank you for your consideration in awarding me a title that I personally don't deserve. And reject definitively.

Trolling or not i will say this...we as paying customers should be able voice our opinions and be heard. I understand there is pee in the forum pool but that shouldn't disqualify the entire NA forum population from being able to feel heard. Especially not due to a language barrier. If they can take our money they can listen to our feedback as well.

Also if they arent gonna listen thats fine but when the numbers begin to dip and people quit for real at least theyll have all these great posts to go back and read lol. Writing is all over the wall and all we want to do is see the game win but kinda hard when they dont foster a relationship with a the NA player-base. Your move SE

Writing is all over the wall from who? The hardcore players who mostly post on the forums? Because I don't see any of this kind of stuff on Reddit/Discord or basically any other platform. Criticism sure. But not "OMFG THE GAME IS DYING!" at the exact same time multiple articles report how the game's population is continuing to grow, and it keeps raking in all these awards.

The ffxiv subreddit is heavily censored by the mods. The Patch 6.3 Megathread lasted little more than a day before the mods took it down because of the amount of criticism it was getting.

This and also trust me....discord is talking as well. These issues didn't happen overnight 6.35 just brought it to head thats all.

Do not anticipate engagement until and unless you can read, write and speak Japanese.

Many North Americans are so entitled that they expect the rest of the world to use English as their primary language.

This is an English forum where English is expected to be written and read. There is no entitlement in that.

Second, there should be forum moderators who can read and understand English whether or not it is their primary language to do their job - moderate the forums. A lot of issues here would be solved if they did. Threads would be locked if they got out of hand and/or off topic, necro'd ones from Twelve's know when would also be locked and/or deleted.

That alone would do wonders. It would show that they're paying attention and MAYBE the forums wouldn't be a a mud hole.

Serious question...

There has always been a stigma about NA forums falling on deaf ears with the devs. So i ask once and for all....when it comes to feedback and how engaged the devs are with NA forums, is there any real reason why we have accepted being alienated and ok with the devs not being engaged with us? Why is our money/opinions not as important if we are also paying customers?

If you take a moment to look, we've had them.
Most of them last a month before quitting and running away and never having anything to do with this company ever again.

We're the worst and most horrid batch of spoiled children in the realm, no wonder they can't find a nanny to mind us.

If you look closely, we actually DO have a staff member watching the forum right now, they introduced themselves, posted here saying they were on the job, and then never, EVER posted here ever again. They were smart. (You can tell they are still working as the account is active, unlike the ones who quit).

Secure, contain, protect. The more forum posters are contained to the forum, the less do they engage with discourse outside on platforms where people who arent already subbed to the game see them.

Dude lmao remember when yoshi said Lapis Manalis would require healers to use a certain skill they weren't used to having on their bar, and we all got excited thinking some new Sleep mechanic would be introduced or something, but in the end the skill yoshi was referring to was Esuna?
I still can't tell if he just has a really dry sense of humor or what

I see plenty of criticism on Reddit. But it's constructive. What I don't see over there - and what gets deleted - is hyperbole. Which is what you see here.

The entire Patch 6.3 Megathread got removed. All constructive criticism and non-constructive criticism with it.
