The game with mods IS an entirely different game, one devoid of Final Fantasy charm, and that can only be seen by you.

Why would I want to play a game as a Second Life bimbo with an exaggerated body shape and Disney fan-fiction outfits, while everyone else see's me as a generic unglammed character?
(yes I know you can mod whatever, but let's face it, most people have terrible taste)

The whole point of playing an MMO is playing with other people. There's no point if I'm the only one who sees it. You're literally living in your own world, as if you've stumbled out of your basement flat with unkempt hair after going three weeks without showering, but you've convinced yourself you're a glamour model because that's what you see.

You're doing it for the gpose shots that only you can see, so you can post them to social media. So yes, it IS literally playing a different game, because it's not playing FF14.

You're aware there is a thing now that lets other people see your mods right? Got like 15-20k people active on it most of the time and rising. I have friends that don't even use mods/plugins for their character in general but have that installed for the sake of seeing their other friends. The argument of it just being for yourself is slowly becoming innacurate.
