Pretty sure they could also do Trusts for savage as in, you only succeed the raid if you did everything right for your job against the boss, but they would probably never even try that, it would mean not hindering your fast problem solving skills and depending on their rmt grifters to artificially extend the difficulty of prog on the party finder. Where Battlefield or Call of duty / activision are using bots that degrades ur gameplay experience until you pay for more weapons / skins, FFXIV has legions of rmt troll 50 cents armies doing their best to render your experience as hellish as possible to sell runs.

All in all a formidable eco system feeding on itself, as illustrated by people feeling the need to offer upto 10's of millions of gils to get clears, isn't it strange that it is now the only moment the "community" gather to a party to "help" anyone when they are paid and offered stupid amounts of gils ? It used to be that even savages where joined just to help clear even for just 1 book, now, we have everything requiring stupid amount of gils to get the usual rmt trolls showing up their face in your party right away. This mentality is more and more prevalent in the game these 2.5 past years after the "new pr twitch" and media campaign SE launched itself in collab with a lot of well known streamers , and we saw their caravan of rmt trolls coming in and pollute the game from, finding honest prog parties 50/50 between the trollish rmt ones in it, to a mere 10 to 15% of savage / extreme prog parties being honest and legitimate.

It's not only my feeling tho, i'm talking about this every now and then with other old timers in this game and they see the same exact thing that i see happening in the party finder. Anyone with more then 4 to 5 years of experience on the party finder of this game as saw a drastic change / difference of purposefull harassment and "trapping" of parties in the pfinder. Did it exist before ? yes. Dit it exist to the extent we see it nowadays ? No. Not even close to how bad it is now.

Until there is a major change in mentality from SE itself (no hope on this front with the newer team and where the mentality is headed, seeing myself a huge change in the motives and perspective for this game "financially" wise.) They are not going to hurt the feels of many streamers and gm's being themselves embroiled in these side advantages schemes for the "job". (as shown too that gm's and streamer and their streamer friends get "distributed" codes of items that are fraudulently non paid with stolen credit card that get refunded later on) There is a corruption problem top to bottom in the western community and it just feed itself onto more corruption and friend to friend to friend layers and ladders of small advantages working also in conjunction of parasocial profiteering-only ecosystems relationships.

Is ERC not giving you enough attention anymore? People help others clear for the sake of it all the time. You are just too hostile for anyone to give you their time of day.

You do realize those "privileged streamers" are the ones asking for Savage to be unlocked earlier, yes?

Plenty of people do help others clear without a gil incentive. You see c41s up constantly throughout the week. Mercenary runs are for people who want everyone to pass on the loot for them. You aren't paying for the clear, you're paying for the coffers.

Exactly.
They already have proof that it would be a good change. PF was incredibly active for many months, people had all the time in the world to practice alt classes, farm gear for them and go for logs and they did it.
But having savage unlock only a few weeks before the next tier is demotivating since you barely have any time to actually use that gear. If anything, I believe it would be an incentive for people who mainly sub for raiding to be more active since they can enjoy playing alt classes to the fullest.

It was very active because there was a mass exodus of wow refugess moving to ffxiv back then.
