So I know Matsuda would come and visit the fanfests. It also seemed like Matsuda had a good relationship with Yoshida, enough to give Yoshida full control of FFXIV. Now there's a new president taking the reigns who's only been apart of the company since 2020.

I'm really concerned that this could mean the president will try to take more control over FFXIV for monetary incentive to make up for all the horrible decisions Matsuda made. I'm pretty sure everyone could see a mile away the Forspoken failure, and obviously blockchain was an awful idea.

Does anyone have any other info? Will Yoshida make a statement?
I am not concerned for FF14 in the long foreseeable future, its their golden goose currently and Yoshi P is on the board of directors he has a lot of sway and status within the company hence why FF14 is pretty much untouched. But we shall see how they handle other projects though.
