Better incentives for staying on your DC

I mean at this point what community? There are hundreds of people in Limsa who I will never speak to. My duty finder runs pull from 3 other servers. More than half the time I'm playing with randoms from those other servers. I'm never going to see them again. What community are you guys protecting? Because 90% of what I do involves people who aren't a part of it. Or is my data center my community? Do you see how easily that line got blurred? Let's take Crystal. I used to play on there. I left because of the toxicity. It wasn't elitism just people being jerks. Random strangers who I will never see again being toxic. So I went to Aether and I encountered the exact same people. The same level of passive-aggressive toxicity. The kind that can't tell me that I'm bad because they are afraid of the ban hammer.

The point is I don't see it. You guys are trying to stop something that happened the second I could queue with others from my data center.

It's gone.

Well we are on the same server and idk where you are finding passive aggressive people on these servers. I started on Aether and really found no passive aggressive people really at all i had no issues in any dungeons and stuff but i was new and leveling. Now at 90 we swapped to Maduin (the same server you are on btw) and probably 99% of every dungeon or even raid i did while lvling (and some of them took ~ 2 hours to fill) was ALL from this DC and no passive aggressive attitude or anything. If you are seeing a lot of toxic people or passive aggressive people idk why i have yet to really find it at all. Community as in seeing the same people on the GS every day and playing games with them, seeing similar groups ya go fishing with....hell i qued up for expert and 90 yesterday and got the exact same people for the group...we all joked about it and had fun....that's community. If you don't engage in it you won't see it but it is there.

Having the same problem with our FC on Seraph...there's like 15 people off server on another DC all the time but like 2-3 people on max....and we are not a small guild. It's very frustrating for our guild leader and officers as they event plan.

yea that sucks we plan events but generally its the same 6-8 people that show up in our FC sometimes more but normally that's it.

I don't know who you are. If I got you in a group outside of the normal pleasantries like "hello" and "tyfp" I'm not going to strike up a friendship with you. You might be the coolest person I have ever met and we become instant best friends, but I'm never going to engage with you beyond that because you are just some random in my duty finder dungeon and I don't know you.

Cross datacenter queuing will fix everything period. No longer will your server matter. It's a step in the right direction.

No amount of incentives will help when your options are "play the game" or "sit in queue waiting to play the game". It doesn't matter if you triple the reward. Just waiting for 30 minutes to run an AR roulette will never be "fun".

based of numbers you call the people already transferring out could be roughly close to thousand + players as a combo of all 4 realms (reminding you Seraph was congested already back in November).....do you really think 30min ques would happen if they stayed or the 30 min que is a effect of so many just changing DC and not trying to do anything in their home DC just cuz there assume it would be quicker.

Correlation does equal causation, can you please explain how allowing a larger pool of players to close the gap of queue times would have an affect on subs negatively? It's more likely that the expac itself was shit. I've had people quit FFXIV lately because they have to wait around for hours or server hop to even play through MSQ.

We can't even grow our Dynamis communities because everyone DC hops. If you think we'd lose subs because we no longer need to server hop to actually play the game, that's wild. lol

As someone who plays on Crystal/Aether from Dynamis, the only thing that would get me to play on Dynamis is faster queue times and frontline actually filling.

The thing is Early Cata wasn't shit and late WotLK which is where it plateau is not consider shit at all. In fact one was seen as part of arguably the best expansion Cata ended bad on the last patch for over a year and LFR being introduced which is seen as one of the worst things Blizzard ever implemented. So one cross server thing is consider the worse thing blizzard ever did, seems like causation might be there. There have been SEVERAL request to remove the LFR from the game because it is not needed.
