Ah, I see we're going to be moving goalposts tonight. Aight.
So here's the deal. Whether anyone wants to accept it or not, there are enough people dissatisfied with the current state of the game that it's become fairly easy to find videos, posts, etc. lodging various criticisms against it, many of which are in actuality legitimate by any reasonable standard. The things people don't like will never change if those criticisms aren't given voice. On any given day there are many thousands of posts regarding the game all over various media, which means the odds of any one voice reaching the developers is slim to none. Repetition is a seen as a way of increasing these odds, as is banding together.
"Majority" and "minority" aren't always so relevant as people often believe. If something is just objectively bad, it stands to reason people should be allowed to dogpile on it all they want until it gets fixed. If so many people are displeased with it that the dogpiling goes from small group to a large number, it should definitely be looked at. And yes, the Island Sanctuary is one of those things a lot of people have brought for gripes about. PLD was also something like this, and it got enough traction for them to finally "fix" it, although the way they "fixed" it left much to be desired judging by the incredible amount of negative feedback all over all sorts of media platforms.
It'll never be the majority doing anything, because the majority of players don't actually visit these forums, Reddit, or other such places where they might speak on the game. No criticism will truly be of the majority. Likewise, it will never truly be the majority attempting to repel these "unwashed naysayers," because they too represent a small minority when compared to the total player-base.
