How about we stop pressuring players to go to other worlds and start pressuring FCs to populate their own exclusive wards? What the heck is wrong with people? Why are you so desperate to protect FCs and trolls?

Because that's still not going to solve the problem.

FCs get special attention because there is FC content locked behind ownership of a house. SE needs to make certain that there are available plots for newly formed FCs.

Mixed wards were the standard prior to the introduction of the lottery last year. It wasn't a subject of controversy until the purchase timer was added and FCs became the method of reselling houses to first time buyers then later the ability to resell at all when relocation stopped bypassing the purchase timer.

SE brought back the mixed purchase wards because having a mix of FC and personal houses together is theoretically better for creating active neighborhoods, and because FC demand had reduced enough that they wanted personal buyers to have a chance at more houses without jeopardizing the ability of FCs to get mediums and larges. If there's a medium available in a mixed ward but none in the FC only wards, then a FC trying to get a medium is going to go after what's available to them.

I would be very surprised if FCs are going after smalls in the mixed wards unless they have members with personal houses already in the same ward.

Yeah that was to be expected though, it's shirogane, which is most people's first choice, if you really want less competition you should have gone for goblet or LB, even though I understand that shiro is better :/

Yeah... it's just more, so i wanted to try for my sake of RP, and actually open a RP cafe, and as it also fits with my Character's RP story and backstory for her to live there.

But yeah i guess im just dumb for doing this... for going with Shiro. :'(

Aww you're not dumb, Shiro is just the better area along with Mist, there's no argument that it looks better lol, but if you wanted to have a medium at all cost yeah a different area would have been better, also never bid on day 1, always wait for last minute bids

Mediums are always going to have far more competition, making them harder to get.

My suggestion would have been to go for a Shiro small first. Getting a house at all should be first priority when you know there's going to be competition and smalls won't have as much. Once you have the house, you'll have future opportunities to upgrade to a medium.

Even a small can host a small cafe for RP. I've come across several small cafes that are well done.
