They're cosplay attire with all pieces intended to be worn together so the player can cosplay as a favorite character. Keep in mind that even on the NPCs they're effectively one piece as they are custom models.

You and I both know that's an excuse, they aint doing it because it's a cosplay, it's just laziness, stop with the excuses

When I see people on the facebook post of the new attire which is a lazy one piece (as per usual for a while), and I read that people are buying double copies for their RETAINER and for their alts, it really makes you wonder how used to mediocrity people are

Nor is it for Ryne's. They're gonna have to come up with a better excuse than cosplay, especially since the NPC hairs can be worn with any outfit.

Wait, do people not really realize that companies have different departments that do different things?

Where I work, we have a team working on new development right now. I'm the team that maintains and improves our current main software. Yet another team handles our customer-facing web and mobile application portals. When we need art resources, that's a completely different team, too. And our online store for our customers is yet another team. All with different tasks, resources, budgetary allotments and schedules. Software development isn't just one big blob of the same people doing everything. And my company is tiny in comparison to SE.

I mean honestly, for such a small indie company as Square Enix I'm sure it's a very hard task.

Maybe they should make a gofundme so we can fund them making it into different pieces

It's almost like they should have had restraint and said "No, let's put that on the backburner and piece them out later so it's worth it at the very least." but instead they went "Well, people bought that 22 dollar version. /shrug". lol
