Thank you Square for letting cheaters win the plot. Not even surprised at this point, but absolutely pathetic.

If they stooped to this tacky level just to dissuade people from bidding- think what they'd do to make you want to move from that spot? Square, IMO, made it clear they were willing to tolerate this kind of behavior in leaving it there.

These people didn't only block a plot that wasn't theirs (though it was no one else's when they did this- that we know of)- but they allowed those players to also block a pathway. Not with a lovely bench or a wares cart, something that added to the decorated glory of their plot (ha ha)-but also allowed easy movement past it- but a bridge and an alpine bath just stacked on each other.

So, what was the lesson learned here? All's fair when it comes to Housing Savage, but not other content.

Absolutely disgusting behaviour. It does feel like the devs just don't listen to the players. Or at least the non Japanese players.

Housing is just a cluster F of random furniture items in which they would rather prioritise stupid community designed furniture than actual pieces that can go to making a thematic home. Instead, all the well decorated homes end up looking the same which is modern and uninspired purely because how little there is to work with. Chalk boards, metal lockers, Sharlayan sink, bed of hay?

Severely restrictive item limits and space in apartments and smalls. This community works with both hands tied behind their backs and blindfolded by the devs, yet can still create some amazing things. Imagine if the devs pulled their fingers out and instead of wasting time on stupid gimicks like the island sanctuary, actually invested that time into improving decorating with x,y,z positioning, removing item snapping, increasing item limits etc.

I certainly hope they do, but given the fact that those people blocked an actual pathway and no action was taken, I think SE will just ignore it- after all, they didn't get a shiny weapon or title out of cheating like this.

I heavily doubt they will do anything, and in all fairness, sure it's a medium so technically it's an upgrade, but I would rather have a small than deal with someone like this right below my plot, the view is completely ruined and half the garden is taken by the "blockade"

Definitely it would violate the provisions about nuisance behavior if the new owner of the plot above reported it. I don't know that it would result in an actual ban unless the FC in the plot below refuses to move the furnishings back within the boundaries of their plot so they are not clipping the adjacent plot and preventing that owner from enjoying their new house.

As for who to action within the FC, the GMs should be able to see which members (in addition to the FC Master) have a rank with furniture placement privileges. Since all of those players have the ability to move those items, even if they weren't the ones to place them where they are, they would all be equally liable for not moving them back within the plot boundaries, or at least to the point where they no longer clip into the other plot. If they are in fact using 3rd party tools and end up floating the items to continue to block the view, then that would clearly be worthy of a ban.

We're at the point where the GMs have created a worse problem by ignoring the other nuisance behavior activities in the wards. Players with bad intent have been emboldened to take it even farther since nothing gets done.

I still think one of the better ways to bring attention to this would be for players who use Twitter to flood it with screenshots of that plot along with other plots with obvious use of third party tools on March 1st and 2nd with the hashtag #FFXIVHousing and the comment "This is what Mister Foxclon's Neighborhood really looks like on [world name] [housing district] [ward number]." Send the tweets to the FFXIV social media accounts in the different languages.
