Has the Materia Datacenter just been abandoned by SE?

Said it once, Said it a million times.

There was no incentive for the majority of English speaking players from Elemental to move to Materia.

The largest population of English players on Elemental are from SEA and get worse ping to Materia than to JP, Majority of those cannot actually buy XIV in their home country, and either purchase it with a VPN to AUS/US.

The only chance Materia has to get more players in DC travel to US (Since we all know JP players do not want DC travel with English players).

DC travel won't fix your issues, just pointing that out. NA won't just start running content on Materia if it's enabled, it would most likely be Materia players coming to NA. Like the SEA players, we don't really have any incentive to abandon ship and move to Materia when we have the population and better ping here. If anything, Materia might look something similar to Dynamis where people use it for housing but exist entirely on other DCs.

OCE is fine regardless,the community will get bigger people just cant expect it to be as established as other DC so quickly
