A better idea, Lowering the cap of max gil to about 50 mil..more than 10-20 mil your are more than well off for this game...it would lower the prices on everything and put gil back in alot of folks pockets.

Nope, I would simply buy those little gil sacks or other high value items that I could liquidate later. I can put stacks on stacks on my retainers, my alts retainers etc. I could also keep gil in my FC. Also don't forget retainers can simply keep gil for you before needing to do any of that at all. I have max amount of retainers and multiple alts, I could still keep hundreds of millions easily. You can change the cap, you won't change how much money I have or make. If people want to bid on multiple plots they still could and would. If they want to relocate 10x they still can.

If ppl want to spam relocate to be rude it sucks but at least they are wasting their money. Not to mention they will be stuck with either an empty house that sucks to chill in or be redecorating every few days.

Balmung being fit to bursting with people that refuse to relocate to a new DC with thousands of plots available for them just shows where the players put their priorities. And it is not on having a house. Having the population be more evenly spread makes sense, adding wards to all servers for the sake of one doesn't make sense. Move, make an alt or accept you have a lot of competition to deal with.

Those are the same users.

There are grandfathered ones (which are a minority).
And there are people who have only like 3 fcs on 3 chars, on which they actively play (these do exist)
There are people who have a solo FC house and normal house
And there are people who do pure takeovers

These are NOT the same even though they can all have multiple plots in the same server. And its only the last one that are truly a problem.

Balmung is already at 2+ bids on all smalls in 3 of the 5 districts. (Mist/Shiro/LB), I saw one small plot in Mist with 9 bids and another in LB with 13.

More Individual only housing wards are absolutely needed. And I'd go as far as to forbid relocation into them on Smalls. The amount of first time buyers who once again will be blocked from owning a house by those who already have one is one of the most infuriating parts of this whole system because you have to wait a week for the other person's old house to open up.

TBH there should be a cooldown on bidding for a same sized house by at least a month if you win one. Let people who have never had a house and have been trying since ARR to get one finally have a better chance.

If someone wins a plot and then their dream plot of the same size becomes available the next lottery cycle. They are and should continue to be able to bid on that plot. They are not taking an extra plot, the number of houses available does not change. Waiting a week might be annoying but it does not justify removing people's ability to go for that once in a lifetime dream plot. If there is 1 plot available and you bid, regardless of if someone relocated or was a new buyer your ass would still be waiting. In fact losing to a relocation SHOULD be favourable to you given the following cycle will have at least that plot they left vacant. If a different new buyer gets it and then there is no plots you are just out of luck. You would be wishing relocator won if there are 0 houses for you to bid on in the next several cycles. Because at least you have a chance if they do.

This. Relocation opens up another house, which is why it used to be instant. (If it still was, I wouldn’t have lost my dream plot - a small btw - 3 times in a row when the new wards came out! lol) But as the new wards have already filled up, and there’s maybe 2-3 plots available in most residential areas on NA servers, relocation and auto-demo are the only ways you’re going to see new plots for awhile. And I’m one of those rare birds who has a medium, and wants a small. I have a dream plot, but I’m pretty much bidding on any decent small I see, with no luck yet. Trust me, people wish I would be able to relocate! lol

It wasn't intended to be horrible. The idea of players being able to get houses in harmonious neighborhoods has an appeal.

They just didn't think through all the possible problems, such as human nature and not every player being interested in making their neighborhood harmonious.

The moment they created the paissa skins,chocobos,gingerbreads and carbuncles, they denied people an "harmonious" neighborhood, those skins are absolutely toxic and led a lot of people to want their own "combo" or wards, because these people ruin it for them.

You mean you don't like my giant gingerbread house mansion!? My neighbours do, and I mean they actually do! We chatted for quite a few days and one also made their medium a gingerbread house It's a very ehem 'sweet' ward to be on. That entire mansion is meant to be kinda sweet and goofy and there are plenty who like that. It's not toxic at all it's just differing taste. I have one mansion in Ishgard where I stuck to the theme of the zone but there is no ward that will fit my silly mansion so I chose my mist plot. Since the house is in the back and stands alone so IF someone didn't like it well every other house is looking away from mine not towards it. Happily my neighbours love it too.

I think the piassa, choco, moogle and carbuncle skins could do with a touch up to look better but still keep their core look.
