What dropping of the ball? Or are we trying to act as if personal opinion is magically objective fact? If that was the case, according to me Abyssos was awesome.Behold, the ultimate test to see if the mods are alive and awake.
So, what are everyone's actual predictions for 6.4?
I'm thinking the raid tier's gonna be great. The raid designers dropped the ball a bit on Abyssos, so they'll surely have learned some things that they can use to make next tier even better.
Perhaps this is copium, but I don't think it will. We'll have a raid tier which already makes it better than well... the nothing that was 6.3.
Oh no! The mean and terrible forum poster didn't put "in my opinion" in their post!!! We're all gonna die!!!

1) The standard hour or two of MSQ with a singular dungeon.
2) 8 Man Raid which I feel will be good design wise but I think the story on that is going to flop. As is the case with most time travel stories.
3) Some minor update to island sanctuary that is pushed to 6.45 to encourage people to stay subbed.
4) New CC season and maybe a new map to go along with it.
5) Maybe another beast tribe or custom delivery that also gets put into 6.45
I think Yoshi-P writing two letters of apology about Abyssos and the first savage nerf since Heavensward qualifies as "dropping the ball a bit". I'm sure the dev team care very much about your opinion, but it doesn't take a genius to guess that this is the kind of incident they aim to avoid at all costs.
EDIT: Btw, I'm not saying that mistakes can't happen. It's a testament to their balancing skills that we didn't need a nerf in savage for so long considering how tight some of the week 1 dps checks have been. But pretending there never was any issue isn't gonna help anyone.

Really shows how much you actually pay attention to this game's road map.Lets see, my predictions for 6.4...

1. No brainer, this is expected
2. Dont know why people are praising the Pandaemonium story honestly. Its seems like your typical father/son drama with a side of "your mother was an average warrior but she was a BRILLIANT SCIENTIST" (bonus points to anyone who gets this reference). To be frank, I do enjoy the story regardless, just as much as most of the stories in this game, but its weird how people like even aveyond think its this amazing story when its really just crap Ive seen done many times before in other jrpgs. Oh well.
3. Ok correction, they've stated every even patch or so will feature a big update for islands while every odd one receives a minor. 6.3 was the minor update.
4. Nothing to say on my end, its most likely
5. Another correction, every expansion gets 3 new tribes only. We're still waiting for Lopporits to release which is the last set of tribal dailies for EW. Otherwise we do have one more custom delivery person left. Dont know if 6.4 will be that or 6.5
6.4 Island Sanctuary is ironically the most interesting trick they have up their sleeve. Not because it's been particularly good so far (I know, IMO), but because we have no precedent for it, and a few features could improve the content dramatically (like 5.1 did for BLU). Last time they were talking about it they said they didn't know yet if they would add a new island or just add content to the one we already have. I wonder what feedback they got for that.

Not in the least. Did you even read what those were about? It was entirely about the Savage version being a bit over-tuned - aka hardcore content that most of the playerbase isn't concerned about. For me, "dropping the ball" would be telling a terrible story or somehow messing up the fight on Normal (aka the mode most people play). Solid normal fights w/ an engaging story doesn't somehow become "bad" because the Savage fight was a bit too savage...I think Yoshi-P writing two letters of apology about Abyssos and the first savage nerf since Heavensward qualifies as "dropping the ball a bit". 6) With the standard complaint about it not being worthy to update it and that they should focus on housing instead
7) Someone complaining that IS takes too much work
8) Someone complaining that IS doesnt have enough content and they are constantly done with it
9) Someone stating that it doesnt need any changes
I hope that the IS area is going to be reused for a diffirent minigame, like for example a chocobo racing circuit (as al lot of foilage can be removed, a clear path for this should be doable).
Savage participation goes up to 50% in some servers. (the source is luckybancho and those estimates are very conservative since it only counts players who publicly got the mount) The idea that overtuning savage doesn't matter because not everyone engage with it is insane troll logic. Almost NO content in the game save the MSQ (and even that is debatable, cutscene skippers exist) is enjoyed by the majority, did you miss the entire point of a themepark MMO? You choose your ride. Not in the least. Did you even read what those were about? If they somehow introduced a bug which made Triple Triad unplayable you'll go defend SE in the forums because the content wasn't enjoyed by the majority? Or you'll say that the bug didn't exist nor matter because most people didn't see it? This is how stupid your argument is.
Your "majority" gimmick is just translation for "only what I, Striker44, like matters".
