Since you asked roleplayers, though... I don't think I know a single person who has decided to set a scene in either of those places, and I know quite a lot of them as an RP venue owner. Granted I don't make a habit of asking, but most people's character stories just don't really stretch out that far, people generally prefer more... well, terrestrial plotlines. I've seen one person whose description says they're playing an Omicron, but I haven't talked to them enough to find out what their angle is.

I've seen some people roleplaying Ancients in Elpis. And personally, I think it would be really in the spirit of the zone to turn the Last Dregs into a roleplay space, though I don't think there's really an interest in doing that sort of thing in public nowadays.

I only know Ancient RPers exist by hearsay, really; I've never met one, it seems more popular among fanfic writers. But in that case they basically take the opposite direction towards not caring about justification to access Elpis; they don't need to explain how they time-travelled, because they're supposed to be there.
