That would be a cool little thing for further customization! And I like this art, having a top in-game like that (w/o tattoos or other extras SE likes to put on it) would be great!Back to female Hrothgar, I would like if we got the females to have the option to be 2-toned, darker on the back and lighter on the front like some cats are.
Thinking more about the cheetah face, it would work really well as the base for the Coeurl face. Since it can be imagined as more angular and sharp (would still like the coeurl moustache of the males to be either used as whiskers or eyebrows for the females).
Every day I think about them, I really want to see them! Hope no one minds if I post some drawings of Female Hrothgar fan art that I make now and then. It's my way of coping with the wait, but please feel free to join, the more art the better (at least for me)! I like looking at people's interpretations of them!

Every race is getting remodeled but to what extent remains to be seen. If I recall correctly they've previously spoken about how the character creation of Hrothgar functions a certain way because of memory limitations. Presumably that will no longer be an issue with the graphical update, so who knows what they might change in that regard. I wouldn't hold your breath for an upright option though as much as I'd like to see that as well.
Thank you, I knew that they would retouch the old models, but didn't think of the memory limitation and how it might be increased with the coming of 7.0.Every race is getting remodeled but to what extent remains to be seen. I am going to hope for an upright posture for male and female Hrothgar though. My poor boys need to see a chiropractor! That and I hope the females will stand str8.
I think the posture problem with Hrothgar is the 3rd most requested feature after hair and hats.

I hope they are small and dainty like miqo females. They could of nice manes and have skin colors like mooncats. If they are made otherwise not many people will play them like the males. They should take what works and include it in the hroth females so they get more players and make it worth the time.
I don't know about memory limitations, but it is true ours is peculiar. A lot of the options you see in the character creator is rehashed for other races, even if they don't behave the same way. Things such as sliders and selectable options. It's why some races don't have muscle sliders, but have something else instead. So for a race as complex as Hrothgars, they'd need to have a lot more leeway, which they currently don't have.Every race is getting remodeled but to what extent remains to be seen. First, the "legacy" races (including Male Miqo'te and Female Roegadyn) will be the ones tweaked with the graphic update. Then will come the rest. And after that, who knows. Odds are we'll never get a new race, but we MIGHT get racial variants.
With all due respect, but at that point why not just make a female Miquo'te keeper of the moon with a fluffier hairstyle?I hope they are small and dainty like miqo females. My hope is that they are as big as shown in the Bozjan mural, aka slightly shorter than female Roegadin. A more humanoid face could be represented by face 4, or the Ronso face like the males.
They have already stated that popularity isn't a thing they are considering when making them. But more of a diversity in choises, if they make them look like Moon Miquo'te that wouldn't be fill the Beast woman niche that the Beast man do.
I hope they make them to be the perfect counterpart for male Hrothgar. Big, fierce, strong and with a little bit of cute and cuddly!

The females being upright is probably a pretty safe bet. I agree about a posture option for the males. I think some slouch makes sense for a beast race but they're at almost a 90 degree angle. When I was a Hroth I couldn't see my own head when I ran which seems a little extreme.
The thing a lot of people don't realize is that while beast/unusual races are almost always less popular overall, the people drawn to them typically wouldn't play the game without their inclusion. So from a business perspective it is absolutely worth it because you're tapping into a demographic that would otherwise ignore your game. Yoship understands this which is why Hrothgar were added in the first place.I hope they are small and dainty like miqo females. They could of nice manes and have skin colors like mooncats. "After seeing the positive reception of the Lupin characters we introduced in Stormblood, we concluded that, for the long-term health of FFXIV, it was important to implement a greater variety of character types beyond the traditionally beautiful in a future expansion."

I tried tracking down the source and I'll update if I find it. It had something to do with their tails if I'm remembering right. But yeah, they have to cut a lot of corners because of engine limitations. I have no idea how they've even accomplished what they have, lmao.I don't know about memory limitations, but it is true ours is peculiar. All the playable races will be updated at once for 7.0. They said as much during a live letter when they spoke about all NPCs that are just character creator parts being good to go right of the gate.
I will be super jealous if the females have straight backs, but we will forever be stuck with hunched backs.
I hope Female Hrothgar will have the same height as Male Hrothgar.

They are? I thought it'd just be like a HD retouch to their skin and eyes texture but would stay the same otherwise.Every race is getting remodeled but to what extent remains to be seen. that's some healer skill floor level bait, but thanks for helping keeping the thread up o/I hope they are small and dainty like miqo females.
