We really should be able to glamour other jobs' sets

The problem could be something silly like the glamour restriction being tied to the equip restriction and they dont want to have us able to equip gear from other jobs. That's something for them to deal with however, there is no use in getting distracted by this diversion as players. Removing job restrictions on glamour would be great and I think they should do it.

Because even right now there are Replica gears from other discipline that we can already wear, so this seems to be a temporary solution to allow us to wear glamours from other disciplines, and totally it's not a "job identity" issue anymore.

So I think to hell with the "job identity" issue, that's probably PR speak, and it just comes down again to spaghetti code.

You're overlooking the fact that glamour wasn't even a launch or reborn feature. Gear has been locked in and they found a way to work with it by matching levels and job. This is why all "glam" gear is level 1 all.

Yeah, this has been discussed quite a lot in this thread.

Some people are acting like they know FOR SURE that it's going to be the single most taxing update to the game and SE couldn't possibly dedicate the time nor the people needed to do it. It really shouldn't be treated as anything much different than the reworks/features they've implemented before.

It would be nice to be able to glamour the "AF" sets of Disciplines of the Land and Hand, especially since you practically never see their old gear in the wild nowadays.

Fun fact: I don't remember if China or Korea's mogstations, but there's a set of cosmetic DoH/L artifact sets glam-free for sale.

It's also not like anything glamour related has been cemented ever since its inception.

I know it's a very small thing, but Endwalker's AF sets got that dyeing conditional (even with a small padlock interface implementation) that is unprecedent, so we know it's possible to work upon the system.
