I have to agree with this. OP is on one of the most populated servers in the entire game, already owns a house and complains about a "housing shortage" because they failed to upgrade to a large. Also refuses to move for free to a new data center with thousands of available houses including larges.

Having played SWTOR and with it's instanced housing, it actually isn't that bad. It's pretty enjoyable and gives A LOT of creativity to the players as a whole. I got houses on Manaan, Nar shadaa, Alderaan, Yavin 4. ALL of them are wonderful locations and it just ultimately make me realise FFXIV should have something like this aswell!

Yeah I also thought SWTOR housing is pretty cool. It’s instanced but the template design is done really well, such beautiful location omg Alderaan and humongous, Nar Shadaa I wished I could live there. And we can visit other players houses and they still look unique.

Are there any NA servers with Larges? I've been away for a while but I would insta-transfer for a non-gobbie-non-empy large.

There is nowhere to go in NA for a guaranteed large. If someone thinks that the new datacenter has a lot of larges available, it's because they saw that wards 25+ were completely empty and failed to realize that they are unavailable, or because they just pulled that "fact" out of thin air.

Good day, I am writing this forum post, as per today. Balmung and many of the NA Crystal housing situations are and have been getting MASSIVELY out of hand.

With the latest implimentation of Housing and housing wards, with FC/PRIVATE together making it even harder for people to get houses.

On Balmung, there's plethora of small 2-5 people FC's and Larger FC's who will roll around, bid on private houses, win them, relocate than do the same thing over again next lottery.

I've now tried for 75 diffrent houses.

I've played since 1.0 and right now, it is heart wrenching how BAD the Lottery system is.

Please don't get me wrong, it is better than the SPAM CLICK to be lucky system... but seriously... you have games like Old school runescape, who have done instances private housing... and it works. BUT i do understand wanting to have wards to show of decoration and all that, i like that too.

What i don't like is how utterly TERRIBAD the housing system is.

Please FIX this... AND please deal with the trolls who relocates just to ruin it for others.

0 Larges available

16 Mediums with 15 bids min and 69 bids highest currently

Multiple bids on all smalls

Can't wait to see how many bids are on every property by the end of the lottery period!!

I want to RP, i want to open a cafe/Tea house in Shirogane... and i want to actually just have a place that dosn't feel cramped as a small.

It just hurts you know.

Imagine how us balmungers who never even had a Small in 8 years of trying feel. Every SMALL is at 10+ already.

And to those of you who keep saying "Just transfer" Why should we be forced to give up the entire main reason to play the game (RP or Content) to move to a Dead DC where neither exist just for something SE can fix just by adding more wards.

"Hey, if Dynamis is dead, just transfer to Aether or Crystal. Why complain your server is dead?"
