They'd have to make sure things don't clip too badly with a lot of animations I would guess. Personally I don't care but I know a lot of people would end up raising a stink over stuff like that.

Clipping shouldn't really be an issue for the overwhelming majority of gear. Even now there are longer hairstyles that clip with a bunch of pieces and most people simply avoid using said hairstyles with said gear pieces, but the fact that the option is there and players get to choose is absolutely a positive thing. For example, imagine if you couldn't glamour certain pieces while using certain hairstyles because it clips a bit and the devs forced their choice on you instead of letting you pick. If there is major clipping on occasion then players would have the freedom to pick a different piece or keep it if it doesn't bother them.
I think the vast majority would take the freedom of no glamour restrictions with a few pieces clipping a bit here and there (if even that tbh), over keeping the current stale, outdated system which stifles glamour creativity to no end. The glamour scene would positively explode if they lift the restrictions.
