I know you've seen a lot of criticism about making this feel more like a Final Fantasy title...
And that may be warranted.

But don't be afraid to strike out here and there.
As much as every game in the title has borrowed from others, it has also added to the great and storied Final Fantasy Universe.

I can tell you enjoy creativity, and I am here to let you know.. I've got your back
You can indeed add things that have never been in the series
New enemies...
New Jobs/classes (I know people will hate hearing this but every game has added jobs that fit in with the story, unless you think Yeti and Blitzballer have been in since the first title)

Please don't let the disappointing launch deter you from innovation.

In short... Definitely borrow from older FF titles, this has always been done and gives a certain sense of familiarity to the world we play in...
BUT... don't be afraid to add to the legend that is Final Fantasy also...
Previous titles don't just take from the brand... they add to it.

So 10 years from now... someone will be playing FFXX and say "I wish they would add Thaumaturge in this game"

At the same time, this is a random thread, but kudos to Yoshi P. I think the game has a long, long way to go, but it seems we have the right man at the Helm.

It is random... but what I love most about the live letters is that he seems so passionate about the game... playful and energetic about new features and content... and he seems to know what players will get most excited about...
He just seems like such a creative person... I want to see as much of that in game as possible... Even if it doesn't always fit in with some of the militant extremists definition of a Final Fantasy title

Final Fantasy titles are light-hearted, jovial themed titles. Yes, there are militant and more mature aspects of it, but there has always been a fun, easy-going sense when it comes to the games. The game needs to have mature aspects, but it also needs the lightheartedness that FF is known for.

I truly appreciate his dedication, and his attention to community. I do wish he would interact with us a little more, but this is a minimal concern when you compare his actions to that of his predecessor.
