Let the GMs handle it.IDC how it sounds. If you gain unfair advantages in the game and you are publicly shamed for it, I don't believe you should be able to escape that. Maybe it will encourage people to do mechanics more genuinely.
Its also like if there was an infamous harasser / exploiter, why should we lose track of them?
The focus of this thread is to request an option to privatize or opt-out of lodestone. To anyone who would like this feature, please remember to like the original post. The number of likes on the post matters!
Can say the same about the request to be honest...
On one hand, I'm on board for privacy - on the other, what Havenchild said. Most issues that stem from this (mainly in your 3 first scenarios) would be resolved if they reworked the blacklist system.
Can't be arsed to bother with the whole ultimate fiasco
Overall, not sure. 50/50 on this
You would still be able to report them! I'm guessing all our accounts have a hidden ID or something... Even if the harasser changes their username and privatizes their lodestone, a GM would be able to find them.
Besides, it would be much better for innocent people not to be forced into spending on a name change or creating a whole new character. In this scenario, the harasser would be the one spending money on a name change AND they would still have GM action enforced on their account.

I think we were talking about a scenario where we could opt-out or privatize our lodestone pages. The above poster is concerned that a player could harass someone, change their name, and then hide their lodestone page to avoid being found.
But the thing is, you can still report them. GMs have chat logs, and they probably even know the x,y coordinates where harassment occured. Just make sure your report includes all the necessary information, like the time, date, what happened, etc...

50/50 on this.
Would be nice but is it necessary? Just blacklist whoever is "stalking" you and you won't have any comms with you, they can't join your PF, etc.
If you have nothing to hide, why make it private? I prefer it public esp when someone would try to impersonate you. The real one will always have your achievements and accomplishments on your public profile.
Won't work if the stalker makes an alt to bypass the blacklist.50/50 on this.

It's also not a matter of having something to hide. Some stalkers are just crazy. Could be a crazy ex. Could be a creep. People should have the option to private their lodestone so they can get away from stalkers like that.
If you're having problems with someone impersonating you, as unlikely as that may seem, you should have the option to keep your lodestone public. No one is taking that away from you.
what an absolutely terrible take50/50 on this.

"just blacklist"
say you have never had stalkers without telling you never had stalkers
I was stalked on EU, the person(s) kept making alt characters contacting every single friend I met, they would contact them to tell them how much of a terrible human being I am, creating fake stories and actually a lot of people believed them, leading me to be down to basically no friends or barely any on an entire region because word goes from one ear to the next, especially on EU as it isnt as big as NA, I had to deal with having an amazing vibe with people to them leaving because "I dont want drama" or their close friends had heard bad stories about me
Dont come at people that have had to deal with stalking with "just blacklist", if you have no clue, please keep your opinion to yourself and let people that actually have a clue and are actually compassionate respond instead of just telling these people (including me) to blacklist as if they havent already done that, the stalking I had to deal with and harassement lasted for over a year and a half before I eventually bit the bullet and moved region and apparently they didnt want to cross over, but I tried server changing and DC changing on EU, it did absolutely nothing.
If it was as easy as "just blacklist" this game would have no stalking problem wouldnt it ? So think before you post something like that, it's actually infuriating to read this, this is an emotional response which is actually rare from me but this actually hit home, I was told on EU from the few friends I had to "just ignore it" "just blacklist"
It. Does. Not. Work.
