U can allways go by chocobo to gridania or ship to LL and is free

Bed bugs in the inn... ewww.....Posted this on the JP side before but when issue like this arises if I were the game programmer working on the game I would.
1. Change the Ul'dah Inn's NPC comment to say their Inn is infested with bugs and is being cleaned out to make sure it's safe on players health, in the mean time the Ul'dah government has given me free passes to other nations for the time being, sorry for the inconvenience but please use their Inn for the time being.
2. NPC gives free airship pass - need to talk to NPC everytime to get this
This is done on purpose so players come back and check since we only get stupid Lodestone updates to check if the Ul'dah is fixed so for those who don't check Lodestone for news updates they have a way to find out "Oh it's fixed"

Whaaaat? What what whaaat? Anima is free, it costs you nothing. And travel is free! You dont have to use anima to go to limsa OR gridania. This is silly lol. Its not even a problem..dont use your anima.Hello! im not really sure if this belongs here or not... but im not sure where else to post it. Since the ul'dah inn constantly is out of commission it costs me either 5000g or 3 anima every time i want to stop and place my character in the inn.
Now i know 5000gil may not seem like much. but in the grand scheme of things it sure adds up quick. I understand that the inn is unstable for the server. But now we are being punished for using the the newly implemented service for bonus xp.
I honestly have no clue what could be done to fix this problem. But id like to hear thoughts and/or response to make this a much less tiresome process.

I don't see the problem, I've never used the Ul'dah inn.

no to Inn fee's !

OP says nothing about adding a fee to use the Inn even if the thread title is a little misleading...
But really, its not the end of the world to tele, airship, or chocobo to a different city at the end of your playtime. Just plan your activities as well as you can so that you end up close to Grid or Limsa. You could always set your return point at one of those towns as well.
You are not being punished. you are being slightly inconvenienced.

other possible solution: do what many players and linkshells have already done and move to another city-state, most of the stability issues seem to stem from excessive numbers of people in Ul'dah
