I was originally gonna grab the same plot as yours but by the time I went to grab my gil from my FC chest, someone had put their bid and so not to risk losing out, I bid and won my current plot.
This is what it looks like from my onsen facing the mountains behind my home, at least no other homes, especially the hideous Candy Land and Paissa exteriors ruin the view lol.

My neighbors 2 of them next to eachother have the candyland exterior. XDI was originally gonna grab the same plot as yours but by the time I went to grab my gil from my FC chest, someone had put their bid and so not to risk losing out, I bid and won my current plot.

But to discuse your view, its really pretty too!
That's unfortunate, they must hate the world lol. Oh yeah, the view has grown on me and I hope they add more trees and such in the graphics update, make the valley look like an oasis.... this is Ul'dah, where the wealth is horded and extravagance is the norm, the valley should look like the Hanging Gardens of Babylon with all the wealth Ul'dah commands.
Or....they have humor XDThat's unfortunate, they must hate the world lol. but yes you are rightWho knows, they will update the Wards with some hanging gardens and people will actually go and bid on the houses that are left XD
Agree in principle but, on the other hand, a lot of the land in the area is desert, so I guess the views do make sense. That's unfortunate, they must hate the world lol. You have empty larges on your server???? Even with the addition of new larges every single one had tons of bids on our server. There was also not a single medium without bids on it in any of the lottery phases.I'm sorry but i don't think 50+ topics where people cry because they did not win a house in a lotery with 200+ bids on the same house, is very productive.
I have seen how this goes on my server. The almost whole population of housebuyers, bid on the S-tier houses on the same lot in the same wards,
leaving the other L and M houses on 0 bids.
Meanwhile crying they didnt win and because of that the housing system is crap, jada jada jada.
Well, i did win. A Large house. With 1 bid on it for 5 days. Mine. I have decorated and enjoying the view now. Very happy with it.
I just hope that all the houses that still have no owners in my ward, will fill up in the coming weeks, when people actually wake up and see that there still enough to choose from. But yeah, its not on the spot they want it, so the whole system is crap. Meanwhile half wards with a shitload of empty plots will remain how they are.
Ah well, what do I know. Im just an elitist, right?
The comment about elitist housing market is to catch they eye of SE who openly advocates against elitism but then creates a system like this which is very contradictory.
I'm on here polling for every player to have the option/ability to own a house. Location doesn't matter at all to me either, I would take an instanced house and be perfectly happy with it.

You had an option. There still larges open, I think 3. You should check https://zhu.codes/paissa when the 3rd round is up.You have empty larges on your server???? If you really want a house, you get a house. In the first round of the new wards, lots of M houses didn't even get bid on. I cannot count the M's that are still open. There alot.
Everything you say is just not true at all. Maybe not bidding on the S-tier places.
Unfortunately, "elitist" is the wrong word to be using here. House ownership isn't limited to the "elite". It's limited to the lucky.
I'll generally say the system is exclusive instead of inclusive, which is another of SE's goals. They want players to feel included. Creating something where supply is not sufficient to meet demand in not inclusive. Some would argue that everyone is included via FC houses or ability for others to add tenants but players aren't going to feel that they are when their access has to be granted by others and likewise can be removed by those others on a whim.
Right now, there are plots available. Most worlds still have plots left from the recent ward addition and relocations, and there will be a few more becoming available over the course of this month as demolition timers start to expire. But those plots will fill quickly on the heavily populated worlds and even the Dynamis worlds will end up filling over the course of the year (occupancy is already at 70% and gradually rising with each lottery). As we get into the latter part of 6.5 and players start returning for 7.0 (not to mention new players continuing to join the game), we'll probably be right back at where we were at Endwalker launch.
