Why not move to Dynamis? We really need more people there since it's pretty barren atm. I tried since early Stormblood on Exodus to upgrade from a small to a larger plot with no success, so I moved to Seraph and now enjoy my personal large. Any Linkshells you are part of will still be there whenever you visit your old data center if that's what you're worried about. Seraph is the fullest of the new worlds but pretty barren compared to Balmung, so you have a better chance at a large in the other three. You still have some time to think about moving since the new wards on Dynamis have not opened yet for bidding. Seraph also has a growing RP community and is pretty much the RP world of Dynamis too if you want to move with friends and create your own FC there. There are still many personal plots free for bidding on Seraph and even mediums for a FC and more so on the other Dynamis worlds. With the new wards opening soon (I think, no news yet when), you have a chance to both grab a medium or large on Seraph even with good chances of winning, I won my large in Goblet with my bid alone for my personal large and medium FC in Lavender Beds. So why not help populate Dynamis and help the RP community though small for now grow larger since moving there is free for all your characters? All my alts share the FC medium as their home while my new main has her personal large and I'm very happy since I can easily travel and visit the other NA data centers and play with friends there.

I think the next few wards should be individual only. Had a shell FC beat me out of the plot I was going for last week (which had like 6 bids including my own), then found out that the day after getting the plot they moved out of it. Had to bid against 53 other players for it this time around and lost. Feels kinda bad that my best chance at a plot I've had my eyes on for six years (I have a plot already, this was an attempt at the dream upgrade) was allowed to be trashed by an FC that didn't even keep the plot because they had the winning bid on another.

I think she is referring to FC's forcing out competition. Essentially suppose you Want Player X to get the house.
FC of Player X puts 20 Relo bids on the house....and Player X does.
If FC wins/ they eat the 7mill loss and repeat the process until Player X is the winner because people are not bidding against 20+ players if there is another option.

It is kind of lame because really there is too much money in the system - and given how slow the housing system moves...it can naturally be very daunting for someone to keep losing a housing bid only to keep seeing the house go up month after month.

Another 1 in 4 lost and 0/42 all time on lottos now. And now we get to sit through another 9 day wait to try again only to be disappointed at not having a house since 2.4.

And no. Dynamis is never the answer. If you've spent the better part of a decade on a server and made hundreds of connections and storylines/RP with people, you shouldn't have to abandon all that just to have the most basic of housing plots.

A house on Dynamis would never be used. People RPing with me would not want to log out and deal with a World Transfer just to see my house or RP there.

And I would never be on Dynamis in the first place. I'd spend all my time on Crystal, making the entire transfer pointless.

Double the wards outright SE. Even if mixed they should be more than enough for everyone to have a house. Balmung had 284 smalls up for grabs for individual buyers this cycle. Every single one received 4 or more bids as of Saturday night save three at 3 bids that I saw while running around reading placards and filling out an Excel sheet (2 goblet, one Empy). Ignoring the things like premium plots getting 28+ bids (That one Island LB small), let's just set everythign at 4 bids giving us 992 bidders. Now let's be generous and say 20% of those were FC bids. (Even though there were over two dozen unbid on smalls in FC only wards...)). That brings us down from 992 to 794 bidders. Let's be generous again and say half the bids were relocators. Down to 397. And finally let's cut it by a fourth just to say some of those were people alt bidding.

298. 298 Players minimum on Balmung (it is probably much higher) who are homeless and trying to get a house but can't. It's not hard to imagine some of these people. (Myself and three others. Granted one of them's husband won a house for her that she uses as a tenant since he doesn't care for it.) have been trying and failing since ARR to get a house. Balmung didn't have the same days of open plots in Stormblood that other places had. There were windows yes of an hour or so sometime, but they always hit mid shift/vacation/life event for us. Plots didn't go past two hours untouched.

Please Square. Double the wards or add Instanced housing plots.

At this point we should play a forced Lottery with every Balmongian Citizen. Rolled an uneven number and your Character will be randomly transferred to one of the new Dynamis Worlds with a 10 year block of transferring to or creating a new character on Balmung. Rolling even and you can stay.

The only somewhat effective way I found to counter it was to bid saturate the location with my own alts first; but most folks down have 8 bid worthy characters on 1 server to do that with - so anyone not with way too many resources is getting screwed over pretty easily.

There was one Empy Medium that was empty for 2 months when EW launched because an officer in a very large FC wanted it and gave gil to her FC mates to bid on it with her every cycle. It was filled when one of the FC members just kept it for themself and left the FC lol.

Oh the relocation BS is insanely bad on Balmung. You have HUGE HUGE fc's rolling around with 8-20 members, bidding on plots, wins said plot, then next lottery relocates OFF the plot to prevent people from getting them. Simply cause ''FLUFF YOU''

I even had a troll FC come up to me, with 24 players, to bid on a large 1st round. I told em how many times i had tried, and they felt sorry for me, and left. But still 24 FC members rolling around. AND EVEN THEN they said they had money to bid for a lot more
