Balmung is now at minimum 4 bids on every free small. Please Do something about this. We have dozens of people here who have been trying to get a house since ARR and never can because of the insane amount of artificially created scarcity.

Don't exaggerate. No one has been trying since ARR and failing on Balmung. Even Balmung had plots available for a few months back in 4.2 before they all sold out. If they failed to get a house at that point, it's because they were not trying.

If you want to claim there are players on Balmung who have been trying since Shadowbringers' release and failing, that's a claim I would believe.

The reason i said that is. I have a small, i've had a small for 4 years now. 4 years of NOTHING but a small. All cause of the trash housing system.

I'm not trying to be rude or offensive here. I'm just saying. The house system needs to be changed, or we need a lot more wards than is implimented.

It is not an exaggeration. I and two direct friends do not have houses. One has been trying since 2.3 and I and the second have been trying since 2.4. And Yes it did have plots. That I missed clicking on thanks to work. Do not assume just because you have it easy getting a house everyone else is lazy or lying.

There was no demo timer or lottery back then. It was walk up and buy a plot, leaving 3 possibilities. Laziness, pickiness or no plots open. So which one was it or should we guess more? I am leaning towards picky..

At this point we should play a forced Lottery with every Balmongian Citizen. Rolled an uneven number and your Character will be randomly transferred to one of the new Dynamis Worlds with a 10 year block of transferring to or creating a new character on Balmung. Rolling even and you can stay.

I compare the housing situation to people standing on line at a grocery store. People line up in aisle 1... and the line is very deep. They really want to be on aisle 1 at any cost - even if they wait forever for service (a house).

Aisle 2 (and 3 and 4 and 5, etc) open up, but many people on aisle 1 stay there while others jump in the other aisles and get service (and a house) instantly. But those Balmongians are committed to aisle 1 forever.

IMO, people that don't have houses right now simply don't value houses as high as other things. If that's the case, then they need to be honest with themselves: they don't have a house because they value their FC/linkshells/friends/whatever more than a house. And that's ok! But stop complaining about it already.

I should not be forced to pay to transfer off my server to experience a basic feature of the game. Especially when Balmung is the only place that has a large community and history of RP and storyline for my characters on it.

Balmung has been Congested (Capital C!) longer and more times than every other server combined. RP servers retain their players. They build their communities up. You can try to RP on other servers via world travel, but the majority of storyline RP on Balmung is FC based. Which you need to be a resident of the server to enjoy.

The stickiness of the players to their community and the absolute plus housing brings to an RP aspect makes housing EXTREMELY desired on Balmung. And it means the number of players gunning for a house and the ones who owned multiple back in the day and still do are still active, limiting supply.

We want houses for RP. When you tell us to "Transfer" or "Move Aisles." it's saying "Hey, you can check out in this aisle. But only if you buy corn pops and sardines."
