Currently I move from medium Goblet to large Shirogane and I don't know, I feel like it's so spacious and more breathable than medium. To be fair I'm not into furniture glitching like putting 20 furnitures only to make refrigerator, but it feels more space to walk around (I miss my Roegadyn flexing view tho, instead I have 2 middies flirting view)

My complaint probably just large outdoor item limit is too few, I can't put some lightning because of it...

I feel that I could do cutest stuff in my small house. I will need to cover floors to make it look appealing, and that's sad very sad.
Heh, I chuckle when I see something like this. As bad as it may be now (especially for large houses), it actually used to be worse, believe it or not. IIRC, in Stormblood, SE doubled the furnishing limit from where it was to what we have now. Imagine trying to fill a large with only 200 furnishings. XD

I would imagine at the very least an extra 50-100 would go a long way for mediums and larges. I'd be happy with just that.

Honestly The majority of this could be fixed if we were permitted to "drag" the walls in and out and thus make the space smaller or slightly different shapes.

Pillars in my large are my bane.

I don't understand how you used 200 with this build? What's taking so much item space? It looks way less item dense than this build of mine(for example), and this uses only 177 items.

Anyway, while I'd certainly like more slots for smalls, 200 isn't that bad. I've done really lovely 2 floor builds with less than that.
Now, mediums and larges DEFINITELY need more.

Theres a LOT of hingan bookshelves in that picture; the last picture along is near 50 items due to the 8 concealed deadmans chests and 4 bamboo planters alone. The majority of shots I see many more deadmans chests used for those nightsky windows; second last photo looks like there is a custom dropped ceiling - given how low it is there is a good chance that they put ponds on top of those flooring mats to stop jumpers from being shot into the roof. The kitchen in shot 3 is about 43 items by my count (the island in the kitchen likely has another bookshelf facing it to hide the side we do not see)

I actually think they should probably look at the area of a small and divide it by 200, then use that to calculate the item budget of a house. The logic they applied was probably 100 items per "room" (Larges having 2 "rooms" on the top floor) which is pretty much spot on for smalls - tight for Mediums and silly for larges. Because the basement of a large really is prohibitive.

Its a common trend I see in japan where the locals will buy a large; then build a entire house in the basement of a large....complete with doorway and entrance.

This build is mine, I cut the other person's pics so my post wouldn't be too long. The kitchen has a bit less than that, the fridge is only 4 slots , so counting items that aren't shown in the picture and excluding the ceiling/window, it uses 27 slots. But you're right, there's a LOT of bookshelves here lol. I didn't place ponds though, I don't mind that the camera can see a bit more than it should if I zoom out too much.

Here's my house that I just finished- it's a small but I was not able to utilize the bottom floor
I clutter decorate- I hate modern styles bc of how empty they look

but If I had more space, 300 or 250/275 instead of 200, I wouldn't have to cut corners with this build. It may not look it but alot of corners were cut
