They've already given some code related reason why they can't do this. I don't buy it though, considering I've gotten a "you can't move this object when someone is interacting with it" error code when editing.

I think tis because they essentialy link a glamour dresser to every item that can be glamoured; so spawning a ton more of those dressers would create a exponential level of more DB queries. Probably a big reason for the concern about instancing because of the custom engine they use.

Yea something along the line there, only shows how poorly thought out the glamour system was.
They should try and copy what WoW has.

Admittedly FF avatars are insanely more advanced then WoW's avatars - thus our emotes.
