I hate that I recognize that reference. What the fuck does that even mean, Ansem?
But I'm only half-joking when I say they invented a new kind of Darkness. Look at Dynamis. Notice how every villainous application of it is visually defined by the color black. Everything it creates looks like something out of a old horror movie. While every heroic application of it is either some color of the elemental rainbow (red, yellow, green, blue, cyan, purple) or brilliant white light. And everything it does create is good, wholesome, and loves soup.
Dynamis is just Darkness II. And Light II, come to think of it.
Clearly Dynamis stole Holy 2.I hate that I recognize that reference. What the fuck does that even mean, Ansem?

Going to assume that's because it's much easier to convey those simple concepts to the viewer/player. Ultimately we're primarily raised in cultures where light is considered good and darkness is where the evil reside. Unless one's goal is to deconstruct those beliefs you'll rarely stray from it.
