Blacklist NEEDS to be reworked

I have mine filled up with gold sellers so I'm the problem wow.

Blacklisting gil sellers is a waste. They only use each character for what, 5 minutes? Then move on to the next. Get rid of them really.

And its because they were a legit creep that Followed me around and said "You are Mine Now"

Back when I stared as a cute Miqote.

So...besides blocking RMT bots...I fail to understand why anybody would have such a massive blacklist to the point it gets Capped.

Wait, so using this logic, if I blacklist a lot of bad players from PF to prevent them from joining my future PF parties, then I'm the problem for them wiping the party four times in a row. Well damn, guess it's time to uninstall the game, I'm just not cut out for it. /shrug /s

Yes, you're definitely the problem if instead of joining or making a static, you go joining practice parties and expect everyone to perform flawlessly or get blacklisted because they're noobs.

That's an entirely different discussion and has nothing to do with being able to block disruptive people in DF content. I think you're genuinely confused here so I will explain it as simply and plainly as possible:

IF someone is spamming macros, emotes, berating other players or just generally being unpleasant in a dungeon/alliance raid/trial, OP wants to have an option to blacklist that person.

This has nothing to do with avoiding people in Party Finder, this is about not having the option to blacklist people in duty finder content.

The spaghetti code is an old excuse. How much money has 14 made at this point? Basic things like a calendar and other social items are still missing. Server ticks are still a thing. Expansion after expansion due to not enough servers. Outdated gearing system for a game that was supposed to be designed around having one character.

I agree with this post, but I would like some more details in how the OP would improve it.

I've read too many horror stories of harassment in this game. Thankfully, I've been very blessed to not have found myself, or those close to me, in those situations. Still, the ease at which it is for players to follow other players with a FL add honestly has made me stop accepting friend requests unless I'm truly close to the person (as opposed to what I did before and just accepted after meeting someone and becoming aquaintances).

Essentially, I would suggest this (and yes I know Yoshi addressed this at a q&a but he's changed his mind on things before):
The biggest and most important thing, if you remove someone from your friend's list, you should be automatically removed from theirs. Also, blocking a player should also remove you from their friend list. It is horrific that this is not a feature. No matter if you change your name, servers, even data centers I believe, someone can just follow you and always know your character. Honestly, I believe this one fix would address a plethora of horror stories I've read.

I know preventing players from joining a player on the block list could significantly complicate the duty finder match making (which is why Yoshi said he had no plans of implementing that with the block list), but I maybe they could deprioritize those on your block list? Perhaps a method of putting them at the lowest priority for a match.

Calendar events exist on the lodestone. As does blogging, a personal FC forum, and various other social items.
