I 100% would have bought her outfit if it had her hairstyle
SquareEnix can absolutely fix the hair so it conforms better to the body & not clip.
I would like some more feminine warrior hairstyles, I get that making sidecuts can be hard but there are variants where you braid the hair to look like it. Having long and strong ponytails that are far from the head also avoids clipping.

And also a romantic one. Similar to the one already ingame but the braid is more front which means it wont clip with any ears.

Those would look ravishing on female Viera.
Mortal Fist
Agree, those would be super pretty. Medium long length hair isn't going to please everybody who wants floor length locks, but we've received nothing but short styles since early Shadowbringers. Yeah, a lot of that has to do with what styles won the hairstyle contest, but now that they've all been released I want more emphasis on black hairstyles that include dreads and micro braids. There was a super cool one with a bandana that made it into the finalists of the contest 84 years ago. I've noticed they have implemented finalists as well as winners so seeing this in the game one day wouldn't be too surprising.

I already know many people will not like this response, but it is not my intention to bash anyone in favor of these glamours. However, it is about what the dev team considers a priority, and the time needed to do it, and it is player demand that dictates that priority.
We can also add Lord Hein's hair to this list as it is also really high in demand, and Hilda's and Hein's hairstyles wouldn't cause much, if any clipping issues. Hair is also one of the most difficult items to work with and/or around. With characters like Hilda, Hein, and Gaia, they only need to worry about making it work for them, and not thousands of moving players on the server.
It also isn't just reworking existing gear to loosen restrictions. New hairstyles and gear is also something they feel takes priority over releasing NPC hairstyles to the playerbase. This has a high demand as well, and all of us love to see what's new with every patch release. My own personal take is that one-piece outfits should always come with the hairstyle. They have done this before, so I have no answer on why it isn't a standard. It's very easy to adopt the mindset of 'minimal effort, maximum profit' in cases like Gaia, Ryne, and Omega F.

Or just maybe, for whatever unfathomable reason, they don't want to release Hilda's hair and have moved on to other requested features that they are willing to work on. It's certainly not being neglected for lack of requests – I've seen more for those hairstyles than for gender-unlocking anything besides maybe the bunny suits.

Sure, but there was a clear reluctance with the bunny suits, and I am sure they knew as I did that was a slippery slope. I base that off of the clear as day resentful, "Fits EVERYONE" description they tagged them with. And now here we are. The push for gender neutrality within FFXIV is everywhere. They can't release anything gender specific without someone coming around crying about it afterwards, and you know it. That being said, I would definitely say the speculation is much lower with gender neutrality than it is with them just not wanting to release Hilda's hairstyle. Not saying you're wrong. I am just less inclined to believe that's the case based on my own observation in game, and here on the forums.Or just maybe, for whatever unfathomable reason, they don't want to release Hilda's hair and have moved on to other requested features that they are willing to work on. It's certainly not being neglected for lack of requests – I've seen more for those hairstyles than for gender-unlocking anything besides maybe the bunny suits.
Considering the fact that they're even making a move to lift restrictions on swimsuits from past summer events (according to the game's files) I think the ship has long sailed when it comes to the devs perspective on the removal of gender restrictions. We can speculate all we want that the devs did this out of obligation or felt resentful over it - it really doesn't matter anymore. It has become a key priority to remove gender restrictions on a huge batch of items every major patch and new glamours are launching without gender restrictions at all. Are there going to be some things that remain locked? Yes. Are some folks still going to complain? Yes. Is it still an undeniable truth that those pushing for neutrality have won? Absolutely.
Is there a reason they haven't released Hilda's hairstyle? Who knows. It probably isn't that they don't want to, but that's as viable an justification as any in the absence of a better one. It could be somewhere on some long list of requested features, it just hasn't been treated as a top priority by XIV's devs. Right now implementing the duty support system, expanding the Viera/Hrothgar hairstyle roster and lifting gender restrictions on gear are being given the biggest emphasis. As those projects reach their conclusion maybe we'll see Hilda's hair in an upcoming liveletter. Or not.
