Kinda lost on crafting and not sure what to do.

Sorry I'm still really confused. What do you mean by durability? Like when you craft and sometimes it's 80 and sometimes it's 40? Sorry I have trouble learning things. I'm trying to keep up, but I'm getting confused.

If it would be easier for you to learn by asking questions in game I have 2 characters on Marilith. I could try to find a time when we're both available to go over crafting steps..

I think it would be helpful if you posted your entire crafter loadout and your crafting rotations. The best crafting recipes in the game are going to need something like HQ Pactmaker gear that has been pentamelded with a HQ loadout to HQ those recipes.

It can be done with a full set of melded Perfectionists but it will require use of mostly HQ materials to consistently get a HQ product.

I would appreciate it. No rush mide you. I'm still waiting for my leves to refresh so I can push the last two to 90. Hopefully I can actually figure this out and gear myself.

In my experience the scrip gear is close to crafted gear enough for the chest piece and mainhand tool. This is past tense, no idea for today.

Crafted and penta melded (this means blowing up a LOT of expensive materia), is way better in every other slot except off hand tools. I rarely go over 4 melds on my tools saving the 5th just in case.

My stats non specialist: Craft, 3731: Cont, 3575: 588 CPs. I can use cheap food for most crafts and way less than Tasi tou V for the hardest crafts.

I'm quite willing to gather my own, make my own HQ pieces, and then use those HQ pieces instead of exploding millions of Gil going to pentameld. I'll meld the slots. I'll push one past, or two past if I get serious, but I stop there.

Once when I felt really serious, I spent a gold certificate on a 5 slot crafting chest piece... this was before you could get mounts from that.

When the crafting skills all changed I found it daunting and didnt want to relearn. I then eventually came round to the idea, looked up current macros and looked up each skill with the tooltips on. This way I could see why each skill was being used at each point. Also use trial synth if worried about trying a new recipe.

Most days I'm on after 7pm est. I tend to have Sundays off, but if you need to I can get on at a specific time. You are helping me after all. I've been busy with IRL stuff. I've been starting and stoping on trying to learn it. I've hit a brick wall with gathering gear that I didn't keep up with. I'm still trying to figure it all out. Currently there's folklore tokens I need. Shoutout to the teamcraft discord helping explain it to me on a level I can understand. Currently I'm trying to take stock of what I can gather and what I can't. I had a quick and dirty intro into melding since despite playing since 2013 I've never actually melded gear. I'm trying I really am. And if my learning disability butt can figure it out I can help others who are stuck like me.

Trick is, because folklore is white gather scip, you don't really need to be endgame, just grab any collectable that you can do easily and fill your invintory. Spend time to save difficulty.

And yha, discords are lovely, you'll find people who solved the problems your looking at and can explain it. Forums, well, you'll get answers eventually.
