    Of course they do, but they still listen to what the general majority of the playerbase wants and go with that as the framework for their decision making. Just because you think you're not being listened to, doesnt mean that everybody else's wants and ideas are not being listened to. The current combat design was years in the making based on what the audience loved and or hated what worked and dont worked. It was things like TP, and positionals, normal raids just being boss rooms only and making classes easier to play. These things didnt magically happen overnight, they've been slowly designing the game based on the amalgamation of feedback we give them and this is how we end up here.

    At the end of the day it's still the devs putting changes in place, down to every little detail. To say players are to blame when the power to make decisions is not in the players' hands whatsoever is just wrong. The devs make the game, hold them responsible for changes that are done (good and bad ones).

    I am one of those players that hated things like missing positionals, thereby killing my dps, and losing uptime from the boss's hitbox being small enough that mechanics were forcing me to stop hitting, so I am enjoying the refinements, thanks muchly.

    One of the reasons for not even bothering tanking its if you aren't MT then you are just a waste of slot trying to fight for big DPS numbers.

    Tanking pre-EW trials/raids even on normal feels so much more...engaging for the most part when there are all the manner of small optimizations you can make with positioning for increased uptime, easier mechanic execution, etc.

    I think it's good for them to reposition sometimes, just not all the time.

    Positioning is still a thing though, to a small extent. At the start of the fight you can position it in the center if you pull it from the spawn point. I see a lot of tanks just gap close in and tank it way up north for the first minute or so until it repositions.

    In P5S you can reposition it in the center perfectly if you know how so that melee don't lose uptime standing in the circles, and so the stack and spread mechanics are at consistent locations.

    I would definitely want to keep the design for normal raids. Don't raid Savage so I don't mind if the change is only for Savage.

    I appreciate this design because it removes problems that can occur with tanks who are unfamiliar with the boss or who just simply don't understand what they're doing, which is not infrequent in the DF. If bosses don't reset their position, some mechanics can end up being unavoidable or difficult to avoid. A good tank would know to move the boss back to the center, so it's not a problem for statics, but it could become a real problem in DF normal raids.

    For example, imagine a tank who's tanking the 6th Circle on one edge of the platform and she starts doing her spin. It would be a guaranteed wipe.

    So definitely limit the change to Savage, and keep the boss position resets for normal.

    Amen. That 2 second stun/knockup on p7s platform slam wreaks havoc on my rotation.
