It does, if your ARC and BRD both have Raise equipped.I agree with the OP for the most part. If you change a class, there is no reason that recast timers on the same spell need to reset. If I am a CNJ and I raise someone, and it has 2:30 left on it, when I change to bard, there is no reason for raise to reset to 5 min again. It should simply stay at the current rate of 2:30.
Exactly. Battle encounters have nothing to do with this recast timer discussion since currently you can't change jobs in combat. We are just talking about the other 90% of game time where recast timers, in my opinion, really get in the way. I'd like to see recast timers of 0. Do you think Eorzea would explode? With the system the way it is now you can't change jobs while engaged in battle so this scenario couldn't happen and I think it should stay that way but I would like to see a system in place where if you are running out of battle that the timers are @ 0 when you switch back.
If SE thinks that abuse could still happen maybe setting it up to where switching to DoL or DoH wouldn't reset, that would allow you to at least allow you to repair an item or a friends item and not reset your timers. There's nothing worse than having to switch to Weaver to repair gear then have to wait 15 min for your timer to reset.
