What are you talking about? You play female Aura, you have basically every single glam option in the game available to you bar a couple excptions and keep asking for those to be given to you from race/gender combinations with a fraction of your options. If anyone you have that energy. I can barely wear a fraction of the gear in every given patch because of restrictions on my character, I think we can let ther be some unique things for the race/gender combinations with less options.

It's not lost on me that whenever it's brought up the responses are all people who play female miqo/aura/hyur saying it's selfish to not want to give everything to them. When do I get to use common hairstyles? hats? All this de-genderlocking items really just benefits one group, and that's the group who already has the most options in the game, the female ARR races.
It's fine to have locked gear, to have differences. Gender and Race locked gear is not bad, just let every race/gender combination have their own thing to themselves.

So you personally are affected by restriction of choice, but then when someone else has the exact same complaint as you, you call it invalid because they have "more" (which they don't because there is no rule dictating who looks good in what, it's all subjective). Your argument doesn't make any sense to me. I'd think if you really cared about having choice and variety, you'd actually want it for everyone and not just you.

I care about variety and having things that look good on my character. It's not lost on me that the people looking to dunk on me in this thread are many of the same who come into threads about viera being an incomplete race saying "too bad", or that it's been exclusively female characters looking to have male glams as well.

Read the thread again. Half the discussion in this thread is people with male characters looking to get female glamour pieces.

Also, the gear that looks good on a character is not the same thing as gear that a character can equip. As someone who plays multiple characters of different races, each one of them has gear that suits them and gear that looks awful on them. It's not just a gender divide – even two characters of the same race/gender can suit different styles of outfits and look bad in something that suits the other.

Then why is exclusivity important at all? Exclusvity has never made an outfit more appealing to me, it's also never created variety, it only ever does the opposite by removing possible combinations that you might have otherwise seen.

You do know at the minimum you have 8 character slots in FF14? Why can't I be a Viera and be upset at the limited options they have, or be a male character in game and want some female clothing options because they're better than the male ones?

This is the furthest thing from a fact. What looks good is subjective only. That is the fact. Your problem isn't one of gender, it's that you have a narrow selection of styles that you like to wear. That's fine, but it doesn't mean that the game needs to revolve around your particular tastes.

100 years ago pink was a "masculine" color. 200 years ago men would put on wigs and strut around in heels. 500 years ago, having purposely impractical shoes that interfered with your ability to perform basic tasks was a status symbol for upper class males. This stuff changes like the wind.

So, it really only benefits female characters to have these de gendered.

All are benefited equally by having more choice. You may not like every option available to you, but you're not the only player.

It removes what's unique about male characters and gives their unique looks to people who already have most of the game catered to them. It's infuriating to have a few good glams that looks good on your character and some catgirl comes by and just yoink I'll take that too.

The male body is different from the female body, and the important differences can be detected even through clothing. A man wearing the same outfit as a woman can still look distinct, so I don't really agree that anything is lost. At least with all options unlocked variety is maximized and no one is left wanting something that they arbitrarily are banned from having.

Yet in Real Life you find people in different clothing who are comfortable with clothes that aren't necessarily of their gender, or has been part of their gender for a long time but people have forgotten/part of their customs.(won't say how many, since many are adjacent.., just Kilts and Small Clothes..,) there are many hidden and seen clothing that all have the option to wear. and once it reaches a certain point the lines blur and may as well be the same thing.

No one denies the fact of Good Glamour/Gear items will always be good, but just cause it's designed for one body type, doesn't mean the other should be locked out, as your previous comments have tried to push to.

that's just asking devs to make more Gender Inspired gear(we just want them, to make them not Genderlocked day 0) which the vast majority have nothing against.(if anything more gender leaning clothes has been the more popular item for the other gender. male or female.)
