Yes, I can. I think it would be pretty tragic if in-game items we pay a subscription for were inferior to the cash shop items that are meant to milk extra money out of the player base. Luckily that's not the case. I'm surprised that people want the best items to be locked behind microtransactions.

Well, my feelings are if I have to pay for something then it better be equal or better in quality to the best looking gear in the game. I'm not sure why that's surprising.

Anyone who buys something from the cash shop is in fact paying for the item twice, the sub fee and the cost of the item, and that's a problem. By putting glamor gear in the cash shop, S.E. has placed themselves in a no-win situation.

If they do offer the best looking gear solely through the cash shop, it'll turn FFXIV into a pay to win game with fashion at stake rather gear levels and stats.

Yet, if S.E. offers glam gear in the cash shop which is inferior in quality to the gear in the game, then people wouldn't want to buy it; or worse, they will feel ripped off when they discover they could have gotten better versions of the same gear without paying the extra money.

If I had my way, there would be no gear or fashion accessories in the cash shop. All glamor gear would be available in game whether by side quests, drops, or from vendors who accept the different currencies in FFXIV. But, I'm not in charge.
