Random take unrelated to the topic but I kinda want more Dragon Quest-esque outfits with the tunics and tabards and the obligatory bunny suit.

Aside from the Makai stuff I'm crossing my fingers that they will unlock the Nezha Lady's set for guys (and vice versa)... if only for the chest piece.

Why should I be ok with it? It's removing things that were exclusive to my character type and giving it to a character type that already has more than I do. And in return I get... nothing that I want in return.
Hell, I can't even wear hats on my character.

What are you talking about? You play female Aura, you have basically every single glam option in the game available to you bar a couple excptions and keep asking for those to be given to you from race/gender combinations with a fraction of your options. If anyone you have that energy. I can barely wear a fraction of the gear in every given patch because of restrictions on my character, I think we can let ther be some unique things for the race/gender combinations with less options.

It's not lost on me that whenever it's brought up the responses are all people who play female miqo/aura/hyur saying it's selfish to not want to give everything to them. When do I get to use common hairstyles? hats? All this de-genderlocking items really just benefits one group, and that's the group who already has the most options in the game, the female ARR races.
It's fine to have locked gear, to have differences. Gender and Race locked gear is not bad, just let every race/gender combination have their own thing to themselves.

Idk man I've been wanting to be able to put my bun into the male's Valentione set since it first came out. I also have always liked the Boulevardier's ruffled shirt for the longest time. Now I can wear it. Just need to figure out a look that I'd like to use it for. Just because you don't like the dresses or want to put your bun boy into non masculine stuff doesn't mean there isn't plenty who do wish too. Heck I think the maid outfit probably looks the best on bun boys which just makes me fairly envious.

If you're nitpicking that hard and gettting that pedantic at my post then it's pretty clear I have a solid argument.

Like I said, it's just a purely "I want" out of people who play female characters. Nevermind that I've seen quite a few of the people replying to me in the viera threads arguing that we "should have known" we weren't going to be able to wear the AF gear for a number of jobs or for savage/alliance raid gear. Then, it changes when its somethign they want and can't use.

Bro, I can be just as mean and say every Viera is bent on making any thread about how they're missing hairs and headpieces.

Before you gatekeep my comment, I was male Viera for a couple of weeks and changed off him because of lacking both nicer male outfit options and headpieces.

People who want glam to be un-genderlocked are more likely to be on your side regarding Hrothgar and Viera hats, my dude. Maybe don't try so hard to alienate your allies.

(Edit) Also, a large part of why I play a female character despite being male IRL is because the glam options are better. If stuff was unlocked and guys could wear whatever girls wore, and if more care was put into how dresses etc. display on men so they don't look like memelords, I'd fanta in a heartbeat.
