I know your pain. Feels like I don't even recognize the job anymore. The new rotation pales in comparison to how intuitive the old one was.Literally my first post ever on these forums. The pld changes make me sad. I've been a pld main since ARR beta, and i can honestly say absolutely none of what they implemented in regards to a new pld rotation feels good to me. The original pld rotation had a beautiful intuitive flow to it, this new thing has none of that. I did not need to fit into a 2 minute burst window. Hell i didn't even need a damage increase. I liked having 8 gcds in a row for pulling away from the boss, now NOTHING lines up, which is frustrating. Really hoping they do something about it. DV and Sheltron getting better (plus getting back bulwark) are not worth the entirely horrible new rotation I've been saddled with.
The new optimal rotation has you dropping two Atonements, so it's even better!
Nah apparently not, apparently we just use a priority system for the 3 GCDs in FOF that aren't Goring or the Conf combo, prioritising DM Holy Spirit, RA (because it procs another HS), Atonement
And the old optimal rotation had us dropping Atonements, so even if what I've been told is off, it just means 'nothing changed', not 'the old rotation was more intuitive'
I've tested it. While the difference is nominal, dropping two Atonements in a 60 second loop to facilitate a DHS -> RA -> DHS under FoF is the highest potency. The old rotation had PLDs dropping one Atonement. If that wasn't great, then surely now dropping two isn't the same or better.Nah apparently not, apparently we just use a priority system for the 3 GCDs in FOF that aren't Goring or the Conf combo, prioritising DM Holy Spirit, RA (because it procs another HS), Atonement
