Their party their rules.I think the point is that people want stuff to work out of the box. It's nice if some QoL gets implemented no matter how (looking at you, buff timers).
I just don't like the fact that you buy a game and then you are expected to download 10 add-ons or you are out. That's BS. I take whatever SE implements and may use the one that mustn't be named that starts with p when I play on PC but other than that I'm not going out of my way. I think how the other MMO does it is utterly ridiculous in that regard.
You're free to start your own static where it's not mandatory.
Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]
