There is a new tool that lets you gather a few new items and a new landmark you can build eventually, but no expansions. As for rewards, those are gonna be subjective, but they are:

• 3 new outfits (2 beach garb sets from cowries, 3rd is from a quest at rank 12)
• A new mount
  (alligator)
• A new landmark item (but no new location to put it)

There were also several new items to purchase with cowries that should be available at rank 10, so be sure to check the mammet

Workshops are your best source of XP for your island. Just set up a weeks worth of crafts, come back to after the 5 days of crafting to claim the cowries and XP, then setup next weeks crafts.

Isn't that what every roleplayer on Balmung does?

There was no content update for Island Sanctuary.

You buy all the rewards with your cowries that you saved in advance. Then return to passively clicking "collect" a few times for materials once a day and loading up teamcraft to tell you how to set up your workshop. The gameplay is identical to previous patch. Levels, materials, new things to gather, they all add nothing.

Would anyone be willing to please tell me what the new gathering items are? I'm missing one and not sure what it is. I hit every tree I could think of but am still missing one. Thank you.

Coconut, resin, beehive chip, wood opal. All from the existing types of different trees.

There’s also the flowers that require flying.

New materials are from:

Tualong Trees, Palm Trees, Apple Trees, Mahogany Trees.

+ new flower; found some south, requires flight.

I think the flowers might be just on all of the ledges that require flight? I found them on the Small Spring ledge on the mountain.
