If a person needs assistance, I think they should have some personal accountability, do some research themself and then, if need clarifying, go to someone.

New player ain't necessarily going to clear Barbie EX right off the bat. Your requirement would fare better if there's another kind of mentor system that's dedicated for more advanced gameplay. But this one right here we have? That's.... too much expectation.

minor annoyance when someone edits after already quoting a reply.

a teacher, as per your example, gets paid to teach. a teacher, also, helps teach a person how to learn. how to take the information given and figure out a solution.

a teacher, as per your example, does not give the answers. only teaches you how to find them. so your example has lost some of its validity.

often time Google > mentor. "google it" may be the best possible answer

:P Do not come to the States cause sadly that is how a many teachers do teach, hell many of them even get their lessons from the internet or sites like teachers pay teachers. You can sometimes get everything they have with a quick google search.

That said some of the answers I have seen floating around in NN, I wish more mentors would just pawn new players off to google cause GEEZ, some mentors do not have a clue and should not be answering questions.

Just take the burger king crown away from everyday use and the quality of mentor's will increase.

Because all these wannabe good player's who use it to be something special will stop being mentor, because they can't be special anymore.
Keep it exclusively for Mentor rouletts and nothing else.

The overall playerbase is kind enough to help when they get asked something and new player often don't even know that the clown crown is meant for people who could be asked for help.
