GRAPHICAL UPDATE

Hi!

I don't use the forums barely ever, so please forgive me if there is a thread about this already, I couldn't find one when I tried to search it up.

I know February of 2022, Yoshi-P announced and showed off plans and images of the graphical update starting with 7.0. Next month will have been a full year since then, and I was wondering if anyone knows if Yoshi mentioned when we'll get another update on the progress for this? I am hoping next month he'll touch base on it again maybe with some more images, since I have been praying for a graphics update for this game for a couple years now with how much more detailed modern games are and they do plan to support this game for the next 10 years now so...

What really got me excited was a little comment he made saying that the examples shown are being tested on what the engine can handle and is capable of and the art team wants to push it even further than what was shown, so here's hoping they're making really excellent progress on that

What do you guys think...?

I don't really care for/about graphical updates, since one reaches a point where the 2 year old computer needs an update or replacement. The game is lovely as it is- and shiny graphics are not what draws me too or keeps me in a game. But, yay for the shallow crowd???

i heard during that live letter, they said that they might show us the progress they made with graphical update every live letter patch, but after 3 patches, we got 0 update from it

at this point they're most likely saving all that news for Fanfests.

I doubt we'll see anything until after 6.5 when they decide to announce the next expansion and show things off a bit.

The only mention of it recently was the latest LL..,
but it was more of a reminder that it exists/passing comment.
and that they'll release more Info in the future(aka no eta, asides anything that likely relates to it, like races, or content which is likely, as others said, closer to the end of 6.x series and FFest)
