The Current State of Glamour Gear

I won't mince words, I really, really wish the devs would go over existing Glamour gear (and gear intended to be such, but that for some reason still requires a higher level e.g. Replica Allagan gear, Makai sets etc.) and drop it all down to level 1 and remove Job/Role restrictions altogether.

What reason could there be for those restrictions to be in place anymore considering we've already got everything from plain clothes to essentially WoW armour (the various unobtainable PVP sets, but also this year's Heavensturn reward) under the "level 1, All Classes" umbrella? And, unlike unrestricted Glamour in general, there's no "technical difficulties" to point at either, as the aforementioned gear has no other gameplay purpose!

Wouldn't do much to change the fact we've been getting fairly uninspired Glamour gear lately (or satisfy my, and others' desire, for unrestricted Glamour), but it would alleviate it to an extent as more combinations became available to those of us who want an (or multiple!) All Classes get-up(s) for our characters.

idk why they didnt implementing this yet.

prob because one, it's how they code the game. if they want to make the gear with level requirement and locked job/roles, they have to make 2 seperate gear. basically like replica glams, but both are completely different gear. Which will fill up their server storage

another one, it's what they wanted it. In one of the interviews, they said they want to keep it like this so that we have that "mmo feel" or something like that, i don't remember

I can assure you, it’s not a coding issue. It’s a design decision.

... if this were the "unrestricted Glamour" thread, I would agree, but I'm talking about gear that's already only for Glamour. The duplicates already exist, it's just they retain the originals' level and/or Role restrictions for whatever reason.

You really want to talk about gear from 2016? I'd say it was just forgotten and doesn't really require any attention.

I can dig it...I generally feel the only "restriction" to keep in place would be the "role" considering everything...Healers in full plate looks kind of silly (stares at Archfiend armor)

Counterpoint: A dress can only resist so much stabbing and slicing, and you can play a Healer or Magic DPS through the MSQ which has lots of solo instances. Even some more options for armoring or thicker cloth pieces would be nice.

We just got this set that can be worn by every single Job in the game for free, no PVP required or anything...



I don't think Glamour (gear) Role restrictions matter.

We have tanks and dps going around in bikinis and high heels and casual outfits, I think we have gone BEYOND '' silly '' in terms of glamors a long time ago lol.
