Wand glamour for white mages?

Really couldn't they pretty easily make the handful of wands just a tiny bit longer and turn them into a staff?

I'm conflicted because on one hand, my Hroth's battle stance has a better posture with a wand+shield than with a staff, but on the other hand, (imo) there's not a single good looking wand or 'caster' shield in the game.

Agreed on this. I don't like the shields at all and it's a missed opportunity that the Emperor's New Shield can't be applied to them. (I filed it as a bug report ages ago and it got accepted, but never fixed.)

If they could resolve that, then I would like to see at least occasional wands added to the game so glamours can be used on them – maybe just the tome sets, or something.

Ironically, Vanille's wand and the moogle wand are both purchasable in the Mogstation up to this day.

It has somewhere on the page disclaiming that it cannot be glamoured into 2-hand weapons, but my sprout self back in the day had zero clue that there wouldn't be any more wands past level 50, and I just thought about getting them for the situations where I'd end up having a wand.

Honestly they should just just convert those 2 weapons into actual staves. I don't think it would be a huge issue to sheath them on the back.

Everything a WHM or BLM can cast, can be cast using 1 hand and shield, so the animations shouldn't break.

Just needs an update to the glam system that lets you do it, and toggles both the image and the animation in the code.

When will that happen.

Never.

Least for a while we can enjoy the pure broken insanity of a BLM with wand and shield inside Zokor, breaking the universe.
