Same here, except I run the fc with my main. I recently upgraded my personal to an Ishgard small and my fc house to a goblet medium next to the swimming pools. Aiming to get an Ishgard medium or any large next. If the new wards are fc only, the chances are better.

Friend of mine went for that one for his FC - lost but the got the one right next door to it the following week. Not as good, but good enough.

There isn't. Not anymore. The issue people have is they clutch pearls at the idea of people creating small FCs to get housing. That somehow this is morally bankrupt. I don't blame people for doing so, in many instances it's actually made it easier for people to acquire housing and they tend to share it with friends and family. Somehow people conflate this with violating the ToS and RMT, which is hilariously untrue on both fronts.

I don't care if someone gets a house via creating a small FC or lands themselves a personal plot. I celebrate them finally getting the thing they've been wanting.

Editting this to add: I find it clever and resourceful that people use 'shell' FCs to buy housing. Gives them access to the workshop, and they can even have all their alts in the FC create rooms. In a way personal housing can't.

This what i did, my FC had people in it besides my alts but initially it was just me and them.

Also the problem with moving to a new server/data center and setting up an FC is the 30 day timer on new FCs, so you get there set up the FC rank it up to 6 and then have to sit and wait in timeout. Which I get is to keep folks from using FCs to buy up houses.

It has solved a few issues, all in all the system is working and i'm happier with it than the old systems that were in place, clicking on a placard for two hrs only to have a relo move in and scoop it up was horrific and the system before that, 1st come 1st served with no restraints was even worse.

I'm decidedly curious as to what the division between FC and Personal wards is going to be, selfishly I'm hoping for the swing to be more in the FC favor.

Would be bad move on SE's part. There are still empty small plots littered all over FC wards on my world. Unclaimed personal housing on the other hand, is nearly non-existent.

Mao agrees. Goblet is warm and cozy. Ishgard is BRRRRRR! Plus it full of poncy longneck bigears.
